If you'd like to set up your own drop.io account, it's really simple and there is no sign up, just click the link above, chose a name for your "drop" and upload your files to it. Once you've done that, just post the URL to the drop here and I will then add the account to the room feed. Once your account is added, all you need to do is keep dropping files into your account and they will automagically be published here.

Added. Do you mean through Drop.io or in general? With Drop.io it's done automatically.

well I guess I"m not seeing my mp3 show up yet under the broken telephone account. RSS feed is here and shows it. I just don't see it in FF yet. http://www.drop.io/2vib7tf...

I just added your RSS feed to the room after you posted it. When I add them (see the RSS links to the right under services) they are fed into the room. If you keep uploading into that same drop, they will keep uploading into the room. Is that what you mean? The file you posted is right below this post.

ahhh, ok, makes sense. I'm trying to add it to my main FF account as well to test it out in the general feed, but that's not working quite as well.

it should work the same, just add the url http://www.drop.io/brokent... as a Blog and it should grab anything you upload there. The posts will be back-timestamped to the time they were added to the drop. Seems that the feeds are polled in less than 30 minutes, but you can do the force-refresh if you want to push a few files through at once that you've just uploaded.

Maybe the setting for RSS needs to be checked? Go to your drop and click "Edit Drop" up top right, then lower left select "RSS settings" and make sure "Include files directly in RSS feeds (less security)" is checked.

Time it precisely and chart that time against the ambient temperature in the room. See if it takes longer to turn off (and less time to turn back on) when the room is colder.
