Ok, I got my invite to Ribbit Mobile after being alerted to it from BT yesterday on their RSS Feed. What is Ribbit? Well, its Google Voice for the UK currently. Ive signed up and it quickly took control over my voicemail. People can leave voicemails for me on my normal mobile, and Ribbit will transcribe the messages and send it back to me in an SMS

Simon was kind enough to trial it out and in the above screenshot, it shows he left me a message and it automatically types out what he said in the message. Sure, the transcribing isnt instantaneous and it takes about 5-10mins, but its still decent enough.
