I just accepted the full-time position of Principal Software Engineer at Fitbit in Boston. I am so psyched!
Congratulations! - laura x from BuddyFeed
Wooo! How do you feel about leaving Google, though? - Stephen Mack
Do you have to pass a physical fitness test? And congrats. - Todd Hoff
Stephen, I have mixed feelings about leaving Google. I'll miss a lot of people there. But overall I think I'll be happier at a smaller, faster company, especially this one. - Bruce Lewis
congrats! Can you send us free fitbits? ;) - ellbeecee
I hope so, LBC. I'll find out after I start. - Bruce Lewis
Congrats, Bruce! - Jenny H.
cheers! now we have an in at FitBit, sweet. - t-ra: lose, find, repeat
Yay! Congratulations. :) And Boston? Nice. :D - Hookuh Tinypants
Con'grats and yah xmas is coming close, send us Ftibits pls pls :)- - Peter Dawson
OK, no free ones, but I might be able to get a small number of discounted Zips, Ones and Arias. DM me if you want details. - Bruce Lewis
*looks up what a Zip, One, and Aria are* - t-ra: lose, find, repeat
Fitbit Zip and Fitbit One are at the top of this page, Aria below: - Bruce Lewis
I recommend the Aria for those who don't have one already. :D aside from the Flex, it's my favorite Fitbit product. - Hookuh Tinypants from FreshFeed
I love my FitBit One. What I despise is the silicone case which has started falling apart. - Zulema ❧ spicy cocoa tart
Zulema, you might want to about that. Maybe there's something they can do. - Bruce Lewis
یعنی انگلیسیت خیلی خوبه همش فید انگلیسی ارسال میکنی؟ :دی - ووووزلا
منم بلدم، آی ام ویندوز :دی - ووووزلا
Is it possible to order FitBits with a company logo on them? - Ross Miller
Good question, Ross. I don't know -- I'd suggest asking - Bruce Lewis
Today marks the first time I've passed Louis Gray on the Fitbit leaderboard. I don't know exactly what the "taunt" feature does, but I just used it. :-)
Hah I don't have a fitbit but that's funny :) I might get one just for taunting purposes. - Dough Balls
Well done, Bruce! - Stephen Mack from iPhone
Sheesh. Take one weekend off from the marathon walks and BOOM. Suckage. - Louis Gray
Exercise is unproductive and a waste of time. - Steel Penguin Slippy
I discovered this week that it doesn't take any longer to walk between North Station and our temporary offices at 129 Newbury Street than it takes to ride the green line. Walking over Beacon Hill and through the Boston Public Garden gives way better scenery than I would get riding underground. - Bruce Lewis
Fitbit Force - 99.95 +tax at Brookstone using LivingSocial 20% coupon code and $25 for $50 (mobile)
Nice! - Stephen Mack from iPhone
I just noticed Linode doubled my RAM and disk space for free. OurDoings will be unavailable while the partition resizes.
I just renewed 1 domain at The best checkout process and no upsells! #Namecheap
Oh look, there's a baseball game on.
Fitbit tells me I walked 10,500 steps yesterday. Who else here has a Fitbit?
OK, at least and and and somebody with a private feed and a bunny. - Bruce Lewis
I do! I just don't feed my Fitbit stats in anywhere. - Hookuh Tinypants from FreshFeed
You just look at the numbers on the device? - Bruce Lewis
Actually I don't look at my stats anymore since I got my Flex back in April/May. I've enjoyed not having numbers to stare at on my Fitbit, just the dots and buzz once I hit my goal for the day. :) I view my dashboard online twice a week just to make sure all my stats look right and manually adjust sleep logs if needed. - Hookuh Tinypants from FreshFeed
There's also a Fitbit Friendfeed group. - Betsy
I do, but the only time mine says I did that many steps is when I accidentally washed it in the washer - heh. - Shannon - GlassMistress
I do. I'm on my 4th one. Haha - Tamara J. B.
I'm also on my fourth one.. Geez.. And my fifth (a Force) coming soon. I'm a little hard on it, I guess. One was replaced as defective, broke one by dropping it, lost one, and the Flex I'm using now is just being replaced with a Force. Profile here: - Stephen Mack
I have one. - Katy S
The latest Ubuntu worked a lot better for me after apt-get install nvidia-current

We went bicycling along a newly-surfaced bike path and toured the Wenham Swamp Walk for the first time. Splashes of fall color made it nice. The boardwalk was reminiscent of Plum Island. - Bruce Lewis

So, so cool ( and so jealous) - Shannon - GlassMistress
The kitten name controversy -
Name this one "Focus"?
Name this one "Blur"?
My wife and kids want to give our new kittens conventional names like "Jasmine" and "Charlotte". I think the shorthair should be named "Focus" and the longhair "Blur". The shorthair always looks straight at the phone when I take a picture. The longhair is constantly running around. - Bruce Lewis
The short hair is polydactyl? 'Thumbs' or 'Snappy' might fit. - Neal Krummell
Yes - Bruce Lewis from Android
I like Focus and Blur. - Akiva
I think the names you chose are perfect. - Anika
