Totally steampunk with magical elements. I especially like it if the magical elements are explained via technology (like Final Fantasy 7). I'd love to see something like 7th Sea (Swashbuckling with magical elements), but I can't think of anything along that lines in the CRPG format.

My favorite game is FF6, so I'm a sucker for the transitional fantasy and steampunk stuff. But I've got to say, EarthBound, with its quirky take on modern society makes me wish they'd port Mother3 to English already.
