Console RPG question of the day: Is re-playability important for an RPG, or are you content to have experienced the story once?

I'll probably not play it more than once. (Which, incidentally, why alternate endings bug me. I'll only ever see one and have to YouTube the rest) - James (@willia4)
It's a very rare RPG that can hold my interest through multiple replays and for it to be replayable, it has to be fairly short (finish in 20 hours). Mass Effect is a perfect example of an RPG that I replayed a lot. Almost finished it 4 times to get max achievements on 360. Most RPGs though, to do everything take about 75-100 hours. By that time, I'm just done with it and ready to move on to something else. - Alex Scoble
Replayability is cool. If it fits the story, multiple endings can be awesome. I think general replayability should be a bonus and the player should be able to get stuff done from one play-through. - Arlan Koizumi
