Console RPG question of the day: How do you like your exposition? Something up front describing the current situation, or do you prefer to get tossed in the middle of it all and find your own way?

I prefer my exposition Half Life (1 and 2) style. I know it's not an RPG, but I really love the idea of telling a story without telling the story. So I guess my vote would be for no explicit exposition at all.

I like a little bit of both. I play an RPG for the story to unfold but, I also like to discover things at the same time. I like it best when I get a little bit of it up front and have to discover the rest.
