Don't get me wrong I Love Maher, Smiley, Colbert and Daily. Those shows are meant to make us look deeper into the issues.
I don't judge ppl who base their politics on Bill Maher, Daily show and political docs, but I'm not tryna hear you demanding me to wake up.
Obama faces the most organized propaganda machine in US history. He's one of the most mild mannered presidents and brutally attacked.
If I hanen't done a damn thing since pulling that lever 3 years ago, do I really have grounds to be mad at who I elected?
When dems won the 08 election, they sat back and watched. When Rep's lost it, the got in the streets and got active.
Lot of folks who supported Obama are mad at him now because he didn't fix everything in 3 years and played too nice with his opposition.
Not to say that these folks don't have a serious pathology, they do. But they're echoing the inner thoughts of the people who elect them.
We have to battle these issues in our own hearts and circles of influence. As long as the ideas are popular, they'll always find a champion.
The people who elect Michelle Bachmann and make up the tea party are real people who have power in the society.
It's too easy to dismiss ppl like Rick Perry and Michelle Bachmann as crazy. They're voices for divisive sentiments in our society.
