Re: Technological Determinism Is False - http://www.natalidelconte.com/2009...
"A fascinating thing to think about, and indeed it's something I am spending a lot of time in graduate school examining. If technological determinism makes you uncomfortable, you may enjoy looking into the "Social Construction of Technology" (SCOT) model. Rather than arguing that technology shapes social action, social constructivists argue that it is in fact humans and their actions shaping technology. Please feel free to check out my site -- http://unpoppedcollar.com -- for more discussions on technological determinism versus social constructivism." - Budak
Re: Unpopped Collar: Travel, Technology and Social Entrepreneurship. Travel Photography and Stories plus Social Tech - http://unpoppedcollar.com/post...
"Thanks for stopping by, Dave. I appreciate your insight. I think lost in many of the old media's production is the importance of community building. When major sources put articles online there are often open comments which rapidly devolve into ugliness. On many focused blogs however, such as yours, the people commenting feel a greater sense of community and shared interests, which I think results in a much more vibrant experience for writers and readers alike." - Budak

It was a long travel day from Las Vegas to Charlotte to DC, but look how lucky I got: the person before me on the plane left the best magazine ever — Pest Management Professional — in the seatback pocket!  Hours of information and entertainment. - http://unpoppedcollar.com/post...
