Thanks guys, for sharing your meetup video. - Buff Toast
Some fascinating discussion going on there. Thanks for sharing - Lisa
Your welcome, Buff, Lisa. I was wondering how interested others would be. I think that the content is ok, but really the main reason I did it was to help the 30DC community spirit. - Tim Brennan
You and Maria have done a nice job there Tim - thank you. - Isha (Marysia)
We were there nearly 3 and a half hours. Then Enzo & I stopped off at Liverpool Street Station and gassed further for another hour or so. A very enjoyable meet-up and I look forward to many more. - Isha (Marysia)
Here's some more info about this video - "5 of us had a meetup at the good old British Museum in London's West End. We chatted for 3 hours about all sorts related to the Thirty Day Challenge. The experience interesting and encouraging. Towards the end of the meetup, we decided to stage a bit of chat for the camera. I shot about 17 minutes which I've spit into 2 parts. As you can see the... more... - Tim Brennan
Despite the video camera being very close to the action, the audio it picked up was not good at all. It picked up loads of background hubbub which drowned out the conversation. The iRiver audio quality was twice as good. " - Tim Brennan
In case anyone's wondering where the 5th person is, Maria's holding the camera & a great job she's done too. - Isha (Marysia)
Nice video Tim. Looking forward to the next meet up. - Enzo Vullo
Great video and discussion. - Art Y.
I never knew there was a meet up in London. Would like to join you for the next one. Where do you post the info? I don't check FF much but will keep an eye out now. - MayC
There's no-one in charge of them. You just subscribe to the 30dc for London FF room http://friendfeed.com/rooms... and keep an eye out on the 30dc meetups forum http://www.thirtydaychallenge.com/forums... Anyone can arrange a meetup whenever they want - Isha (Marysia)
also keep an eye on the meetup section of the forum - Tim Brennan
Well done Tim good video very helpful. - Ken Lee
Nice one, damn I wanted to come but I couldn't. Tim whens the next one? :) - Robertas Domarkas
Very nice of you let us eavesdrop. I wish there were enough of us around here to have a meet... (Helsinki area) - Juho Tunkelo
Thanks. Next meetup is on Sunday 2nd August, 12:30pm at The Barbican Centre. details on the forum here http://www.thirtydaychallenge.com/forums... - Tim Brennan

Wonder if this blue bird will one day be a virtual pet. - Buff Toast
I wonder why the title of the post is "over 75+" .... is that a keyword or a mistake...*shrugs* - Allison
buff would be a good iphone app if your tweets kept your tweety bird fed, and replies kept it happy.... forced continuity in an online pet lol! - Allison
Allison should be fun - if your tweet is "favorite" you get a worm. RT gets a twig to build a nest. Do u think we are on to something big LOL. - Buff Toast
I think so....might even work too! let's pitch it to a developer.... any iphone developers in the audience tonight? - Allison

Hi! My April Fools link! Don't click on it! Just a warning... =) - http://thekickback.com/rickrol...
Listen to the warning!!!! - Jorge Blanco
arrg, I need to heed warnings! Very funny Art! - Elizabeth
That is quite evil. Clicked on it and then couldn't get rid of it at all without shutting down Firefox - which was a pain as at work with multiple windows and tabs open monitoring traffic and couldn't just restart with the same session! had to start from scratch You have been warned! - Lisa
That was not funny, Hacker style evil. Shame on you - Colossal Marketing™
Hey Lisa, for future Ctrl, Alt, Delete works wonders :-) - Elizabeth
Ha ha. Sorry everyone =) But I did warn you... When you tell people not to click on a link, there's no way they can resist clicking on it. =P A good marketing strategy for getting a higher CTR, no? - Art Y.
I did do Ctrl, Alt, Delete but had to close the whole of Firefox to get out of it. Had 4 windows and about 25 tabs open at the time. - Lisa
Art - yes, we are all going to click, it's curiosity. Although, in an environment like this there is an element of trust. - Lisa
it's more a matter of patience... the window moves in a pattern. Find the pattern and the tab's X will fall under your mouse and BANG!!!1 It's gone. Of course you have to go through the lyrics pop ups. It's all evil genius >:D - Jorge Blanco
Sorry... I am a bit naughty sometimes... =( - Art Y.
Naughty Art. Time out for you. Go and build 10 backlinks. - Buff Toast
Still a nice one two days later. And: Do listen to the warning!!! - Detlev
Me dumb, didn't listen. Serves me well! - Frans
Why did I click on that???? - Rich_Glass
If you have "restore previous session" enabled, then killing Firefox wont help, as when it starts again, it opens this again, Next version of Firefox wont have this problem, as there is supposed to be an option in every javascript generated alert on a site to "stop running further script on this site" - TrafficBug
Curse you Art! I managed to ignore it for days, and now thanks to all these new comments, this came again on top of feed. The worst is that I kept humming the rest of the day "Never gonna give you up..." Oh horror! :-) - Ritesh Lal
Russ
Hey gang made me 1st dollar on the zillionDC oops I mean the 30DC ha. Amazon just informed me that I made $3.57 waahooooo Think I sold a health care product. First it breaks the ice and 2nd every millionaire always starts with his first dollar.

Russ congrats , how long did it take? just started preseason now - greg
Only $999,996.43 to go! You can do it! Heck, you are already part way there! :) - TIMG Blog Co-Op
Congrats! Nice work ;) - Jorge Blanco
This post was emailed to me which has never happened before. Anybody know anything about that (why it was emailed to me)(has ff ever emailed you anything before) - Russ
Greg to answer your question I think the post says it all (zillion...) but with a straight face let me say that I do believe it can be done in 30 days in fact even less (depending on I don't know what)(how much you impliment the stuff I guess) - Russ
Russ when I got my 1st $s I too called it the zillion DC - I think there are quite a few of us around :D - Isha (Marysia)
good work congrats! - Mitja MG
Ahh- I remember it well...already looking to this years! Looks like it involves twitter? Do hope so, I love anything minimalist & simple! Using twitter loads!Thats y I dont get to FF so much now... - Inspired Writing Research

What are you trying to say, Allison? - Lisa
I click on it because it's food. But this giant fritter won't go away on your website. Yummy and eerie. - Buff Toast
Wondering if Allison is making some deep, insightful commentary about women in business and bacon? Can't see the connection myself! - Lisa
"Mmm.....unexplained bacon" - Groobers
LOL - Groobers, you are hilarious! is that a Simpson's quote, or your own? - Barb Sabathil
Homer and I would follow bacon anywhere (now how do you do that winky thing) ;) ~Cheers G - Groobers

While looking for some IM products, I found them on torrent site with a download. I am not familiar with download on torrent. Why is there a free download when the product is selling in the market? What precaution do we take with download from such sites?
Hey Buff, if you figure out an answer to that, please sell it to all the movie studios and recording studios. They will pay you several hundred million dollars for that, and you will no longer have to hang out with the likes of us :-) - Ritesh Lal
I'm not sure what u mean Ritesh. There are many good comapny here. - Buff Toast
Jenny
If I have 3 totally seperate niche markets and I set up rooms for each of them and have my Google Reader linked to them, how do I get the posts from each room onto the specific Twitter account that pertains to that room? Does that make sense?
If I'm not mistaken, with Google reader, when you set each folder to 'public', it gives you different feeds for each one. You have to get the feed from the settings area I think... - Art Y.
Hi Art, I understand the URL aspect from the Google Reader, but it is sending each room to a different Twitter account that seems to have me stuck. - Jenny
Log in/ go to your room/ Click the manage tab on the right site next to room members / Click add edit services. I actually do it the other way..I post to a specific twitter account and have the feed go to the FF Room. - Brian McClure
Thanks Brian. Now why do you go from Twitter to FF and not the other way around? Also, if you are using Google Reader, don't you feed that into your room and then have it tweet on Twitter? - Jenny
You can't post from FF room to Twitter account(I wish they could too). But you can post feeds from your personal FF account to twitter account. Read more ..http://www.thirtydaychallenge.com/forums... - Buff Toast

Discovered a quick way to gain high-ranking Squidoo backlinks. Look for pages with Link Voting Plexos that let you add your website in!! =) Ummm... you can do this by site:squidoo.com "add to this list" yourkeyword
Brilliant Art! Thank u. Time saver way to backlink. Remember to refresh page and give your site a vote after. - Buff Toast
Lol! I just took all the voting plexos off my lenses because I was getting spam links. Great tip though! - Frann Leach
Thanks for the Very cool tip Art. On top of everything else, these turn out to be do-follow links :-) - Ritesh Lal
You're welcome. Yes! Squidoo is very generous =) - Art Y.
This is a fantastic Squidoo tip. Thanks! - Roger Carr
I don't get it. All the Voting Plexos I find are Amazon lists. - Michael Netsch
I'm giving it away, but try site:squidoo.com "add this to your list" yourkeyword -amazon ... it works wonders :) - Jorge Blanco
You might also want to try site:squidoo.com "add this to your list" yourkeyword -amazon -youtube . But I think sometimes you miss lenses with both link plexos and amazon plexos on the same page... - Art Y.

SWBN Releases the Ladybug Sales Letter
This letter has been tested by ALL of the big names in the internet marketing sphere and has been proven to be 100% successful in convincing our clients we are the BEST people for them. - Allison from Bookmarklet
I just downloaded mine. Short and fun report. But they only give out limited copies. ASAP. - Buff Toast
hmm I really downloaded a copy and saw what it had - TrafficBug
Oh my God, this is an absolute killer. Allison, I just put up this sales letter on my site yesterday, and my conversions are up to 68%. Thanks for posting it here. Guys, guys, I urge you take advantage of this and download it before they pull it down! - Ritesh Lal
My conversions are going up too. Just hit my first $5000 day using this technique. Awesome work, Ladies!! - Barry Unruh
Oh Guys...You got me - FRAK
Thanks to everyone that enjoyed this and played along :) I also hope it gave you some ideas about how you can market WITHOUT seeming like you are screaming in people's faces. This was picked up by a site that lists Internet April Fools Day tricks and sent a ton of traffic across, sure it's not directed traffic, but if we were pushing a product or adsense etc from the site it was an opportunity for income - Allison

Gang, an IM acquaintance of mine is having a hard time explaining to his suspicious parents who want to know, "what exactly does he do all day with his computer?" Does anyone know of a decent book, or a respectable magazine article which explains internet marketing for 'normal' people?
Why don't they just have them sit down with him/her? while firing up World of Warcraft and go around blasting the hell out of everything? JUST KIDDING.. Have their parents go through a few of the 30DC lessons and see what IM is about and what your friend is studying? Just as good as any book IMO. - Colossal Marketing™
My personal favorites are Halo and Ghost recon :-) but come on guys seriously, he can't possibly be the only one who has trouble explaining his, er, 'profession' to other people? - Ritesh Lal
Hmmm....parents around the world seems to ask the same question. Show them what you've build online. Tell them what product you are marketing. Communication and gaining your family trust is the way to go. - Buff Toast
Show them actual money made using IM techniques. - TrafficBug

“Trafficizer.com?? Listenig the audio on link building part 3, Bob mentions a couple of tools for articles.. But I can't get them right. Any help?” - http://friendfeed.com/e...
And for articles from memory its was http://www.uniquearticlewizard.com/ and http://www.articlemarketingautomation.com/ I think. - Andrew
And that my friends, is just one of the reasons why I prefer written media over audio. Wonderful and highly valuable content. But had to listen to a 40 minutes podcast twice to get it all. If it was written, it would be searchable, and I would be able to go to the part I need in 5 minutes. Ed, please, please, I know it adds to your costs, but if at all possible, please add pdf transcripts for your audio and video content. Thanks! - Ritesh Lal
Ritesh, I played the recording 4 times... even when they spell some of the names, it can be difficult. Video only es cheap to produce, easy to sell, but it smells "cheap". - Juan Pablo
And I thought I was the only one who go >> and << like a broken record. I second Ritesh's suggestion. The one I had most difficulty was one of the earlier audio on video camera models. - Buff Toast
Michael Netsch
I want to create a Twitter account for my niche. I think it would be best to use my main keyword phrase as a username but it is too long. My keyword is along the lines of "How To ...". What to choose as a Username now? Get rid of the "How To" or write "How2"?
Personally I would use the pen-name that you use tin the niche. I can't abide blatant sales names. I may be the minority though as I am an early adopter for technology not for marketing :) - Allison
Your tweets should be key word rich, not your name. Your name should be all about your identity as a real person in your niche. Be it a nickname, a pen name, or your real name. - Barry Unruh
Thank you. I thought it would look too spammy. I think I will stay with my main Twitter account and use the other one to spread my links a little further. - Michael Netsch
I asked a similar Q in 30DC+ forum ... here it is http://www.thirtydaychallenge.com/forums... - Buff Toast
@Barry, agreed - Alistair (alpinefolk)
Elliot Webb

Michael Roberts
After 3 months of waiting it finally arrived! My first check from Amazon for $107.57! Since then I have seen my income from my affiliate sites skyrocket. Just wanted to say a bit of encouraging words for other 30DC members!
iPhone Pics 228.JPG
I started internet marketing around July of last year. I am not much into traditional education and so I approached the internet on my own and tried to self teach my self with the help of forums and books. After two months of learning to build my own websites and setting up my own affiliate offers I found the 30DC. I went through the course and was instantly hooked to the 30DC community and Ed, Dan and Bobs teaching style. - Michael Roberts
I poured countless hours into studying, reading and building up a handful of affiliate blogs. Even though I managed to make a little more than $10 in the first 30days of the course it wasn't long before I was left feeling defeated. I had spent a total of 3 months of late nights working on the internet with just modest returns. I slowly eased off the internet and started thinking of my next endevour. Go back to the business structures I knew best. - Michael Roberts
A month or two before Christmas I decided to check up on my affiliate sites. To my suprise they were bringing in hundreds of dollars each...every month. I just about fell out of my chair. Not because seeing a fat paycheck waiting for me was so cool....but the since of accomplishment was an amazing feeling. Being rewarded for my hard work. - Michael Roberts
I re-dedicated my self to internet marketing and had the aggressive plan of building 8 affiliate websites every single month. Along the way I had guidance of friends, family and a great community with other 30DC members. Going back through the 30DC course, joining the Immediate Edge, buying Frank Kerns Mass Control and having a great mentor as Tim Buchalka were all factors in helping me acheive my sucess. - Michael Roberts
Now I have quite a few affiliate websites and during the process of optimizing and building these sites....I thought there had to be an easier way. I grabbed a pen and paper, swiped the laptop and hid away in a quiet room of my house. I came out about 3 hours later with my idea on how I would simplify this proccess...and Trraffic-Bug was born. ( http://www.Traffic-Bug.com ) - Michael Roberts
I wanted to write this little snipit to tell people that anything is possible. Once you set your mind to something with enough motivation and determination you can truly achieve your dreams. This is no get rich quick thought process but one that requires time, good idea and hours and hours of work. I recommend you all read "Think and Grow Rich" (a classic that is very inspirational.) So if you have been in the 30DC for awhile or have just joined...hang in there. - Michael Roberts
Keep working hard and don't settle for mediocrocy. If I can make this internet thing work then I know you can. I did want to stress how important it is for you all to have a group that you can bounce ideas off of. I have a very close small group of people that are invaluable to me. Without a team or mentor your success will surly be a longer harder road. This long winded speech is now done! :) But I wanted to help my community even more on the exact proccess that has helped me. - Michael Roberts
and so I am almost finished putting together what was suppose to be a 20 page ebook but has grown almost into 60 pages. This ebook has all the tricks and tips easily consolidated into one easy source. I will be sure to post the link in here so you can all get the copy for free.... - Michael Roberts
My last little bit I wanted to say was Thank-You to Ed, Dan and Robert for there truly life changing course. I think it is human nature to associate value with price.....and so many people think they should spend thousands of dollars on other products to help them...when really 30dc and immediate edge are one of the "Authorities" on seo tactics. (Not that there aren't other great products out there) - *Frank Kern and Tim Buchalka also offer great materials* -So thank you 30DC! (Twitter @Mroberts23) - Michael Roberts
Very inspirational story, Michael! Thank you for sharing about what you've been through... I'm really going to push myself to work twice as hard tomorrow! - Art Y.
Very inspiring Mike. Your enthusiasm and 'realness' (if that is a real word) are a real boost - good luck with www.traffic-bug.com, I'm sure it will be massive - David
Congratulations Michael. So great to hear about someone taking massive action and reaping the rewards - Lisa
This has been helpful and inspiring. Retracing the path you took, I could identify with some of those moments and emotions. I agree that having a team and a mentor can help make the IM process a lot less bumpy. Thank you for sharing your experience, telling us what have worked for you, and giving us clear indication of which programs to follow. I wish you great success for Traffic Bug. - Buff Toast
Congratulations and way to go Michael! Thanks also for offering to help and contributing to the community. It's folks like you that inspire us to drive forward. The very best of luck for Traffic Bug, I am sure it's going to be a killer :-) - Ritesh Lal
This is great news Michael!!, well done!, I take my hat off to anyone that earns over $100 on Amazon alone!, what did you sell?, a kidney?.:) - Elliot Webb
Thats Awesome Michael ! Onwards and upwards from here, ian_hagerty - IanHagerty from twhirl
wow that is really inspirational, great to hear a success! - Catherine
Many congratulations Michael - that is seriously cool! I look forward to getting your ebook :) - Isha (Marysia)
Michael, thanks so much for your great post/sharing. I just turned 70 and have been beating myself up for drinking so slowly from the IM fire hydrant and "accomplishing" so little for it. I'm inspired by your story - so thanks again and keep up the great work! Tom in ABQ - Tom Miles
we knew you would make it Michael, well done, so great to hear this kind of stuff :)) - Tash
Thank you Art, David, Buff, Ritesh, Elliot, Ian, Catherine, Marysia, Tom and Tash for your kind words. It has always been helpful for me to know that there is a nice community out there that is so positive, encouraging and helpful. I am excited for my chance to help you all back in return. Until then thank you! :) - Michael Roberts
:) A new revolution in internet marketing is beginning... I too want to thank everyone for all your help. Before I found the Thirty Day Challenge, I was wandering aimlessly, studying everything about IM I could with little sleep. Everything was scattered, and I couldn't piece it together. Needless to say, I fell sick from overwork and couldn't study anymore. Wandering through some sites to relax, somehow I found the TDC... Thank you everyone! - Art Y.
Congratulations Michael, you inspire us all :) - Jorge Blanco
These comments are so genuine and inspiring-thanks guys-I learnt everything I know here too,but theres still some simple obvious things we newbies need, like - anyone know how to protect our google adsense code? Thx - Inspired Writing Research
I'm not sure there's a way to do that... other than regularly checking? - Art Y.
include the code that sets up the google code for AdWords inside another script and/or encrypted php file - Jorge Blanco
Michael Wilson
Hey Ed, when will the second part of link building be out?
I'll like it soon. I was really glad when Ed started the Link Building series ... Please continue with the tutorials Ed. - Buff Toast
I received this from Ed today "It's already out for immediate edge members 30dc plus members will get it in a couple if weeks". So I guess we need to be patient....I hate being patient. - Michael Wilson
It still feels too long. But I guess Ed Dale has his reason. - Buff Toast
Part 2 is in feeds now. - Groobers
Yep...Link building #2 is out! Woo Hoo! - Michael Wilson
Good one Big Ed and G. Bob, eagerly waiting for part 3. - Ritesh Lal
Michael Roberts
My Tribute to the hard working crew at 30DC! Thank you Dan, Ed, Bob and the whole team that has helped change my look on internet marketing! I owe you! (Get the full size wallpaper for free by following this link) - http://www.Traffic-Bug.com

Thank you again Ed, Dan, Bob and entire crew over there at the 30 Day Challenge...I can't thank you enough. I hope this makes you laugh a bit so I can give back to you in my own way. - Michael Roberts
Hope everyone noticed the many subtle hints in the wallpaper. We even modeled the guitar after the one Ed Dale auctioned off....and Frank Kerns Helmet cracks me up! If you have ever seen one of his seminars you will understand why he is wearing it. - TrafficBug
Who design the wallpaper? Very creative. - Buff Toast
Thank you very much Buff! :) I designed it....It took me about 12 days to complete. Had to pay a lot of attention to detail...With Ed Dales iPhone utility belt and guitar to Guru Bobs "philosophy shirt." I just hope all the 30dc people enjoy it. This has been a great community and I have learned so much from everyone and the 30dc staff! - Michael Roberts
Michael, you create the product Traffic Bug, design and did the artwork, and the marketing. That's a lot of work and know-how, requiring many different set of skills. Along the way, 30DC training was significant. Would you like to share a little about your IM journey and the training programs that you find has helped you become a all-round internet marketer? - Buff Toast
Thanks Buff Toast for the interest! :) I will post a little snipit on another thread...And I will also be releasing about a 50 page ebook on the internet's best tools and internet marketing tactics that I find to work the best... I will be sure to post the link in this room so you can get a copy for free. - Michael Roberts
The wallpaper looks great Michael - I've downloaded it and keep on noticing extra little details. If the attention to detail in Traffic Bug is as good then we are in for a real IM treat. Good work - David
hey it's great, thanks Michael glad it's going so well :)) - Tash
Thank you everyone for all your great feed back and emails! Over 70 people downloaded that wallpaper! I almost fell of my chair! Thanks again 30DC community and crew! - Michael Roberts

I'm going on a slow link building campaign and I want to know if a post on forum with your link in sig, means a 1 gained backlink for Google? If I post let say 5 posts on forum, would that be 5 backlinks?
I guess so. As long as they are aren't no-follow links. - Art Y.
Ok that is cool then. But how do I know if they are no-follow or do-follow? - Mitja MG
Use the SEO for firefox addon and watch out for the red links... more on this on the 30DC preseason - Jorge Blanco
Does the forum allow sigs? New users cannot post links in sigs in many forums - TrafficBug
That's right. Some forums require a min post quota before you are allow to display a signature. - Buff Toast
Always check for sigs or site links before you post. Also, get an SEO plug-in for Firefox/Flock which will highlight no-follow links. - Robert Worstell
Well, actually you can check for no-follow links by right clicking on the link and choosing properties too. If it's a no-follow link, it will say it there... If it doesn't say anything, that means it's a follow link - Art Y.
Cool tip, Art. - Buff Toast
I see this now with the SEO Book toolbar for FF - Mitja MG
You cannot find if a link is follow or no follow by right clicking on it - at least not in IE7 - TrafficBug
why would you ever want to use IE7 anyway... I only use it (on extreme situations) to download firefox :D - Jorge Blanco
Remember no follow links still count as links - they in theory don't pass authority - which in theory is a complete joke!!!! - Ed Dale from BuddyFeed
Sig lines do count in some forums better than others. One good way is if people ask questions & you can post a link to INFO not Sales. If you find good forums & participate you can grow friends that will also recommend you to others. Forums take time but, I have made more sales from forums than any other type of site. Team marketing on forums also works great. If the board allows blog mini post also helps. Stay away from spam filled boards. - Sheryl Loch
Yes. Apart from the authority of the backlinks, if you are active in big forums, thousands of people will see your sig link everyday. And they'll click on it and see. To be honest, I've joined a lot of forums already, but I've been too lazy to go in and join the conversation at the moment... Being new to communities is always an awkward thing... :S - Art Y.
Yes agree. Well I have made some niche blogs and when joining forums etc. a big number comes out. And posting every day to around 10 niche forums is a hard job, but it should be payed off from Google, what you think? - Mitja MG
I asked this on Twitter today but didn't get a response :( Do backlinks from spammy sites actually do us any harm with Google (or with anywhere else)? - Isha (Marysia)
Marysia - Yes if you only have spammy backlinks (9) - but that not much if you have other decent backlinks (1.0) - microscopic difference if you have good backlinks (0.01) - my personal experience from differnt sites with high level of spam backlinks that you can't prevent. << numbers are just my way of rating and are not scientific - just what's happened to me - Ginger G
Ginger, not sure what your (9) means? Do you mean 0.9? ie if you only have spammy links then that will affect 90% of your Google love, but if you also have good backlinks then it will only affect 10% of your Google love? - Isha (Marysia)
Miryam Heiliczer
I need some advice. I just checked out my keywords on the article content tool. There are NONE!! Is this a good sign or bad? I am in a very tiny niche, with only 1 semi-"major" competitor. Am I too small?
If there are enough searchers for your keyword, and the PBR (in Market Samurai) is over 15%, then I wouldn't think you're too small. A microniche of mine also had no articles. But I completed the 30dc with it (ie I've made well over $10 with it). The downside is that I now realise that it's not a valuable microniche. I suggest you look at the SEOV (SEO Value) using Market Samurai and... more... - Isha (Marysia)
I wonder if your niche is very specialise (eg related to a kind of craft, hobby, interest), where people engage in the activity, talk about it, share tips, blog about it, but do not buy online. Are there forums or questions in Yahoo Answers related to your niche? Can u find an affiliate product for this keyword? These Qs give an idea of the size and what your niche wants. But most importantly, make sure the SEOT, SEOC, SEOC module, PBR meet the criteria. And look into SEOV as suggested by Marysia. - Buff Toast
Thank you all for the good advice. I'll be working diligently on this in the morning. (Its 11:40 pm where I am). - Miryam Heiliczer
Karen
I finished my niche site and would love some feedback. I also wrote the ebook--my first one--it was fun writing it and didn't take that long. Check it out and let me know what you think. Thanks in advance... http://aquariumplants.afrugalgardener.com/
I like the setup, what did software did you use to write the page? - Catherine
I started with a template and modified it in Dreamweaver but it kept crashing so I used Kompozer and it worked very well. It's free and easy to use. - Karen
That's v nice Karen. Your articles are pretty long and detailed - are you outsourcing the writing, or are you working towards making it an authority site (massive competition on your main keyword!)? Am also curious as to why you chose not to have the blog format. - Isha (Marysia)
At the footer there is a "Home" link that is going to nowhere - TrafficBug
I wrote the articles myself with more than one keyword in each article. It does have some competition but the secondary keywords will bring in the traffic. I just wanted it to look like a website and will attach a blog to it for updates. I am building a mini network of backlinks and 2.0 websites for it. Thanks TrafficBug I will take care of the "Home" link. - Karen
Ic. Great site :) By the way, your Tips About Taking Care of Aquariums link is not working too. - Art Y.
Great one Karen "the secondary keywords will bring in the traffic" why didn't I think of that... - Isha (Marysia)
Very well done site! - Peter Johnson
Very nice site, Karen. Soon I am going to start another aquarium. I had them for years. I had tropical fish, and also had some Piranhhas. I kept a tank of goldfish to feed to the Pirhhans, and had a third tank with Cardinal Neon Tetras. The Tetras like acid PH. Your site will be useful to me. Ed. - Edward Kimble
Good job gettig a site up - that's my highest hurdle. Just a question: do you thik it would help to talk up the book a little, wither in the Download box or - probably better - at the bottom of each article page. Just something to read that makes me want to look at the book more. Just a thought - wonder what the other 30dc people think. - Davey from twhirl
Davey, good idea...I hadn't thought of that...I don't want to be pushy but a sentence or two wouldn't hurt, I think. What does everyone else think? I noticed on Ed's site that he never mentions the books, it's just sitting on the side waiting for someone to click on it. So I don't know...Any thoughts? - Karen
Your very 1st ebook. Congrats Karen! Davey made a good point. I took a look at Ed's Vintage Electric Guitar Blog, there is a short descriptive para of the ebook just beneath the book image. Gurubob taught us how to do tis in Day4. - Buff Toast
Usually, when we click on a sales offer, it leads to a sale page - with book description, price, guarantee back(was mentioned in another thread) and pay button. Perhaps you might want to follow this process? And my last suggestion is subjective - larger font size for a easy read. - Buff Toast
Great site! I agree about the larger font - finding it quite hard to read. - Jen
Great looking site!. Some suggestions: 1. show who you are. People like to connect to other people, specially if they share your passion. Put your About page with your picture if possible. 2. Capture email address.. create a sample of your book, and give it for free. Show them your best in exchange of their email. - Juan Pablo

I finally did it!, took all the advice from 30DC/30DC+ and Immediate Edge and came up with my own product!, at last. This is a very proud day for me!. A big huge thanks to Ed,Dan,Bob and all the others 4 ur help, this stuff works!!. take a look, let me know what you think . - http://www.thetwittertechnique.com/
Elliot my friend! It is so awesome to see your first product! We went through the 30DC together and I haven't talked to you much lately. I guess we have both been very busy! :) Nice looking squeeze page! Let's catch up! - Michael Roberts
Absolutely!, Ive spent so much time on this I forgot to eat and shave, I've lost 100lbs, and the other day my wife had me arrested by animal control, they got reports of a yeti in her home!. Its great to see your Traffic Bug coming out!, you must be very proud too!:). - Elliot Webb
Submitted a PRWeb press release to give it a try, ill let you know how that goes too;)) - Elliot Webb
Many congratulations Elliot! That is a nice sales page & a great-sounding product. - Isha (Marysia)
Your product looks very awesome Elliot. :) Congrats! Would you mind sharing a bit about the process? Do you basically just make a product, set up a sales page and start marketing it right away? Or do you have need to have a main twitter website which you build up first, and then send visitors to your sales page? - Art Y.
Hi Art, are we talking about the process I took to make this product, or are we talking about the process inside The Twitter Technique?. let me know Art and ill get right back to u:) - Elliot Webb
I want to launch a product too, but I'm not sure if it's ok to start up with a sales pages straight away, or whether I need to build a website with traffic first, and then put up a sales page for them to go to... If I can just go straight into product creation and sales, that would be so convenient :) - Art Y.
Oh. I mean the process before you make the product. Like, in the TDC we learn to build up a niche site first, then put up affiliate links, and gradually get a lot of traffic first, then move on to product creation. But I was wondering if you could go into a niche, and immediately start with product creation (if you know what the ppl want already), and then put up a sales page right away without making a separate niche site - Art Y.
Sure Art, you can do it both ways, obviously if you have an established site traffic will be easier to come by, but even if you have just started you can put up a sales page and use PPC to drive traffic to it. Remember what Ed says in the 30DC, PPC is one of the quickest and most targeted ways to get traffic early, sure you have to pay for it, but if you do good keyword research you can find long tail keywords to add to your PPC Ad, that way you only pay around 10-25c a click. - Elliot Webb
I say if the keywords are right, and you know what your customers want, just go for it Art!!, if u need any PPC help let me know ok:) - Elliot Webb
Oic. Ok. Thanks Elliot! I've been wanting to make a product for so long, but my niche site failed miserably because the competition was too tough, so I couldn't use it as a pivot... I'll go directly to the sales page then :) - Art Y.
The only thing about a high competition niche is, if you do use PPC in that same niche your cost per click (CPC) is gonna be huge too, if you have Market Samurai Art check out the estimated adwords price in that first, this will just give you an idea of how much per click you will be paying. - Elliot Webb
Ok. It's not that the competition is high... it's quite low actually... but the thing is, the ppl at the top are extremely strong... and the keyword I'm targeting is strange... I won't rank for the long-tail keyword, but i'm ranking so easily for a short tailed one - Art Y.
Congratulations Elliot! We are proud of you too! - Buff Toast
Thanks Buff!!!:))) - Elliot Webb
Looks pretty good. I'm not buying, because of two facts. 1. On the video I can see that there's 200 followers, but you are following more people than that, which makes it look like the usual follow everybody and hope they follow back (I assume that you go into detail on how to find the right people to follow / target - not really the point). 2. There's no authority... I don't know you from a bar of soap, yet, there's no money back guarantee, so there's too much risk. Not meant to criticize, just my view. - Riaan
good lookin' sales page... let us know how it goes! - Jeremy Weiss
That a completely fair comment Riaan thanks for posting it, my argument to it is would you not want to follow potential customers back?, not only is it great feedback from your market, but you also get to see what they are talking about, maybe even possible product ideas to market to the in the future. And to be honest id rather be a shower cream than a bar of soap if you dont mind;). Good point about the guarantee, ill be looking into that;). Thanks Riaan - Elliot Webb
Sold my first report;))) - Elliot Webb
Fine, You can be a shower cream :) I'm with Ed Dale on this. If I follow everybody, it gets too noisy and I can't meaningfully interact with everybody. Thinking of creating niche specific accounts where I follow more people, but difficult to manage multiple accounts... Maybe use twirl for all niche accounts and tweetdeck only for main, dunno... Just not crazy about idea of following people to get them to follow back, That doesn't necessarily mean I'm right though. Congrats on the sale btw :) - Riaan
Congratulations Elliot on the sale! Very big day for you! *sniff sniff* Our little guy is all grown up now! - Michael Roberts
Brilliant work Elliot, so glad you are getting there, well done, you have taken a big step, we new you could :) congrats on the sale, you will have many more :)) - Tash
Congratulations on the sale! :) - Art Y.
Ya its a great feeling!, thanks to you all for your support over the last few weeks, hopefully by doing this I can give something back to you 30DC members by showing you how I did it all;). I made sale #2 about 10 mins ago!;)) - Elliot Webb
Congratulations :-D - Haim Schlesinger

“Cat solves Computer Problem (with Subtitles) - http://bit.ly/5b9mI” - http://friendfeed.com/e...
This is the 2nd time I've watched this video. This improved version with subtitles really make me laugh. What a funny cat. How do I put in subtitles for youtube videos? - Buff Toast
LOLOL!! That is too funny!! Thanks!......Buff, for text/subtitles etc - after you've uploaded to YouTube you will see an button called "Annotations" on the "My Videos" page. I find it to be a bit less than user friendly but it works. I'd practice on a short clip first - I lost a 10 min video trying to learn how to use it! - DaleK
Thanks Dale. - Buff Toast
Amazingly smart cat understands how to work printer! Could this be an evolutionary turning point for the moggy??!!! - Tim Brennan

Definitely Verdana. Knowing you, I'd thought you'd go for the Times New Roman (ROFLMAO!) - Lisa

I'm usually an Arial guy, but it looks kind of crammed in this image... So my vote goes for Verdana. - Jorge Blanco
Verdana looks pleasant. - Buff Toast
Thanks for pointing this out. I have always liked Verdana best, guess it's a throw back to my cartography days. - Susan
Umm... Is it better to use a font that people can hardly see, so that they'll be curious about what it says and just click on the link to find out? Or would it be better to use a font that's clear and people can read it and decide whether they want to click or not? - Art Y.
If they can barely read what it says, I don't think it will spring much curiosity. Better to give a clearly readable teaser that will make them want to know more about your site/product. - Jorge Blanco
Verdana is the best - Mitja MG
