it would appear that twitter now allows tweets longer than 140 chars, when they come as comments from #friendfeed. They are appended with a "..." and can be read as consecutive or cojoined tweets, or adjacent tweets. #fb

sorry for being off topic in your comment hutch. i realized the extra long comment in FF showed up differently in twitter because of who i was commenting on. eg. @EV of course he's going to have special privileges/capabilities on twitter. oh silly me.
