"It's all insane - this roundabout (when used properly by informed drivers) saves a bunch of time. But the recent talk about reducing the speed limit on Homer Watson baffles me. It's 70 now, and most people go 80. People *must* be slowing down in a roundabout, even if they're happens to be no cars or pedestrians at the time. Otherwise, it would be all screeching tires and flipped over vehicles at that speed. Would good signage, bold lane markings and an overhead walkway improve it all?"

"I wouldn't call K-W boring, exactly. Sure, compared to Toronto, K-W is obviously small by comparison; but it's definitely not boring. And getting to Toronto from K-W is a very short trek. PS: I'm a software engineer working in Waterloo and I definitely do not hate it; I'm having a blast :)"

"We have a vibrant tech community here in Kitchener-Waterloo. It's a diverse mix of established large-ish companies (RIM, OpenText, Google, McAfee, Christie Digital, Sybase) and startups (SnapSort, ProductWiki, Miovision, Aeryon Labs). Speaking of startups, The Accelerator Centre (http://www.acceleratorcentre.com) is a big factor is the number and quality of the startups. A bit more info about the community can be found here: http://www.communitech.cahttp://www.techtriangle.com"

Oh JavaScript, why must you turn this into a house of lies? x = 0 / 0; console.log('x is ' + x + ', which is of type ' + typeof(x));
"Same thing happened to me when I was 3 while I was undergoing a tonsillectomy. The only thing I recall is suddenly becoming aware that I was unable to move but unsure what kind of scenario I was actually in and (who I presume to be) the surgeon uttering "uh oh"."
