"Hi Cathy, To me it seems that even the biggest companies can fall into the trap of commoditizing their value offering by focusing on features. In HP's case it's highlighting things like CPU speed, RAM and so on. Conversely, as you point out, Apple prefer to focus on the emotional connection that the user has when using the product.
