That's so ludicrous it's hard to describe. First of all, the identi.ca code is designed to keep 2 nodes in sync.... Yeah, sounds like a great distributed system. Second of all, you'd have to re-create your account on a different node after identi.ca crashes. Third, a distributed Twitter would quickly become USENET 2, and become a spammers paradise.
