Proposed Intense Debate / FriendFeed UI Fix
After discussing today with FriendFeeders (Shey, Mark), I thought I should draw up an idea of what would help the integration between Intense Debate and FriendFeed. On the left side is the current integration. Comments from FriendFeed get pushed back to the blog, but they get intertwined with existing comments. The right side shows a proposed separation to help with context. Thoughts? - - Bwana ☠
Until we get a true two way sync in both (FF and Blog) threads, I think this is a good workaround - Bwana ☠
Thanks for clarifying Bwana. I love the idea. I'll bring this up with the crew and get an idea if we can implement this. - Michael Koenig
Good fix; makes it looks a lot like Wordpress + Disqus + WP Friendfeed Comments plugin. I do wish ID would just push replies to Friendfeed comments back to Friendfeed in the thread (not as a new ID feed entry). That would preserve the complete conversation in Friendfeed. The API allows for it (the Wordpress, Blogger, and my Drupal implementation all allow replying and liking on the blog). - Mark Trapp
I'd like that too Mark, I suspect FriendFeed's lack of threading would hinder the experience, but it'd be a start. - Bwana ☠
Good deal Michael, keep up the good work :) - Bwana ☠
Thanks. Mark - I'm with you on pushing ID comments back to ff. That would be ideal. I suspect that we'd need to do some sort of profile integration in order to make that happen (although there may be other ways). We're exploring some different options on our end. Man I wish these comments were threaded! - Michael Koenig
Nice job Bwana! - Shey, Jamaican of FF
