My FB? You mean my Facebook status about Ceridian getting hacked?
- John Wang
I looked earlier and it said you canceled your account...though Facebook's been wonky lately. Especially on mobile. #boo
- Mona Nomura
Oh wow. It's still there. I hope. I logged in earlier. Hmm. Well, let me know if it doesn't work, maybe I need to contact them. Thanks for the heads up! And so jealous of your future Nexus One!
- John Wang
I just looked and it's there. So weird. I am really excited. REALLY excited. Need to tie up loose ends with AT&T then I will be FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
- Mona Nomura
Ah. I take it that means you're going on a T-Mobile plan and not getting it unlocked. Either way, I'm excited for you too. And if you keep the iPhone, with a little "hacking," you could always just plop in the SIM card if you really wanted to.
- John Wang
Enjoy it - it's taken some getting used to, but I'm digging Android. Hope to move from the Hero to a Nexus soon myself.
- Ben Wern
whahaha :) Can't wait to hear about the pros and cons :)
- DC Crowley
Good luck Mona, sure you'll have fun with the new toy.. :)
- Myrna
I enjoy reading about each new relationship as it happens, Mona. :-)

are u sure u wont miss any App?im considering "maybe" a Nexus too (but waiting for my App to come on Android soon)

Considering I only use Google apps (Google Maps, Gmail, Google Voice, etc.), Tweetie, and Foursquare, I firmly believe the N1 is the phone for me. PDFs, presentations (Docs to Go) isn't that big of a concern to me, since I can view via Google Docs. My only worry is Google Reader -- can someone provide feedback?
- Mona Nomura
The Google apps are great. Don't be surprised when you find out the Android version of a lot of iPhone apps are lacking. How is T-Mobile in your area? These days, I choose the carrier first over the phone.
- Rodfather
Did you have internal info that GOOG was going to release multi-touch today? :-)

Help! I need some freeware that will let me use my NeatReceipts scanner and just scan straight to a file. The NeatReceipts software is TOO SLOW and I don't want to use it's database, just want to scan stuff to pdf or image so I can stick stuff in Evernote. Anyone know of something simple and fast I can use??
Sorry. Only tried NeatReceipts for about a day -- sent it back and switched to a Fujitsu S510.
- Ben Wern
Does the built in Windows Scanner software not recognize it? You could try to use that. I’m not familiar with the device, but I use the Visioneer Road Warrior. Jeff

from email
Can't you just scan as pdf, then drop the digital copy to evernote?
- JCunwired
How are you liking the Android? I'm waiting (very, very impatiently) for Sprint to carry one...
- Ben Wern
I like it fine. You know you can purchase it unlocked at Wal*Mart.
- Keith Barrett
True, but won't work with Sprint where my current plan lock-in is. Very tempted, but hoping against hope Sprint will release it as a dual GSM/CMDA "worldphone" config.

For example, the research of Hart & Risley has shown that over half of the variance in a child’s vocabulary at age 3 can be attributed to the ways in which a parent talks to their child, and the way parents talk to their children varies dramatically depending on socioeconomic status. Specifically, they estimate that by age 4 the children of... - http://osi.tumblr.com/post...
Well, this sucks. Met Tad for dinner tonight while Avynn is being tutored and since we are in separate cars he told me to go on home... get here and remember that I gave Avynn my house key this morning since he lost his somewhere in the house. :(
so I am locked out of my own house...no point in driving back over there since they'd be on their way back before I got there. So sittting in my dark back yard and waiting. :S
- Lindsay
@MJC no, unfortunately... gave Avynn the spare and haven't replaced it... @Derrick Tad is still over at the bookstore where Avynn meets with the tutor.
- Lindsay
@Rochelle well hopefully I won't be stuck more than 45 min or so... the hard part is that Nature is calling!
- Lindsay
At least it is only 98 degrees out here. *pant*
- Lindsay
@MJC we have no neighbors for all three of the closest houses to us and I don't know anyone else in the neighborhood... Not quite extroverted enough to come barging in on a stranger's evening otherwise.
- Lindsay
@Ben, I have been talking to Tad about a biometric lock or a numberpad one for a while but he is convinced that our stupid screen door (which would interefere with getting a single lock) offers too much security to get rid of... I think I am going to press the issue now.
- Lindsay
Wish I could at least turn on our back porch light. It is annoying being in the dark. Thank Eris for my cellphone to keep me company and offer some light.
- Lindsay
Your chances might be better between the mother's day residual niceness and post stuck-in-the-heat sympathy..
- Ben Wern
Yay! Tad called to say they are on their way... I am so not an outdoor person... all these little noises are driving me nuts since I can't see anything.
- Lindsay
Sorry to hear that happened to you. I'm glad it won't be long for you now. Liked for thanking Eris. :)
- Tony Miller
Just in case anyone was wondering I did make it safely back inside!!
- Lindsay
Keith, I get that every 1.5 years on Brighthouse. I call, they come out and assure me nothing is wrong and it's all in my head. I show them disconnects/speed drops, they replace the modem, re-run cable back to the pedestal, reground things, etc and it works again. They insist none of the things they did fixed it, but it works again. For a year or so. Where's my FIOS?
- Ben Wern
No, didn't do it yet - still a month or so from the end of my contract, and probably won't buy right away so definitely still in wait mode, but looking about. Digging the Android, and the Pre though.. Decisions, decisions.
- Ben Wern
Thierry, it's all on the table as far as I'm concerned -- though I'm not entirely sold on the Symbian these days.
