"Release Preview?  I've been experiencing this on my Consumer Preview!  HD not SSD either here! Of course, while trying to go from WIn 7 to Win 8 CP, my original five year old computer died, so I got a new Sandy Bridge to replace it (I build my own computers...). In the next few weeks, I'll be reformatting and going back to Windows 7.   It's been a CF from the start, not that my failing 1.5 TB boot drive was doing me any favors.  I got that out of the system, and instead of boot times of minutes, it was down to seconds.  Still have information on it I'd like to get off.  And the USB cradle I have won't mount it. Grrr.  Looks like I'll have to drop it back in the system and wait the hours it will take to copy that last half terabyte off. :S  And now to find that it's an Intel driver screwing things up. Half the new stuff I try won't work under Win 8 anyway (and the people are refusing to even think about trying to make it work...), so I don't consider it to be a real loss." - Bryan Price
