Does anyone know of an app for beta list, invite and email management. I have a friend launching a beta and needs to easy managmeent tools. she likes the way brightkite, socialthing and ping.fm are managing theirs.
the part she likes is the list management, but also the ability to let beta users invite other beta users with a limited number of invites. if there are dashboard capabilities to watch usage, then this would be cool too. sorry, if this is the wrong room for this question. thx.

are beta services so common now that we need such tools? heh. Not sure i'd trust a service that couldn't code up their own really quick.

I really like the way that 12Seconds handles the invite process. Some features I hadn't seen before is the ability to view on the site when someone you've invited joins as well as revoking an invitation to someone so you can reuse it. I know 12 Seconds was built on Drupal and I just saw this Invite module which might be what they are using http://drupal.org/project...

Sent. 6630nokia John. I like Jaiku. As compared to twitter it is nice, but not as widely used. Really don't see all that much difference though.

My I have an invite to take a stab at this? If so, mkoeneker@gmail.com Thanks!

Hmm SocialThing seems pretty cool - kind of like friendfeed but with you real friends, even if they don't have an account...
- Rich
Yeah, they have changed the UI recently so it really updates you with your friends activities. Hopefully they will add more services soon.

I'm surprised that it looks useful even in conjunction with FriendFeed, not as much of a direct competitor as I thought.
- Rich
Yeah we (at ST!) have been saying that all along...we don't believe FF to be a competitor, but rather, a complimentary service.
- Matt Galligan
@Matt Thanks for the new 2.0 version, it's awesome!

besides the fact that there are not many services supported at ST- i don't get the difference to ff? am i missing something?
- Dieter Schwarz
@Dieter Personally, i like both services, but as FF streams info from FF friends, ST streams from all services friends (and it's not necessarily the same lists), so it's a different concept. I guess better way to find out is to try yourself !
