To FriendFeed: Please don't let facebook stifle your innovation; change them much more than they change you. Don't become part of their "brand" that regresses. Stay independent, and leave this as a business deal. It is as though you are a friend who is marrying someone I don't like: I say congratulations, but you know how I really feel. Congrats.
The difference between Microsoft and Google is the same one that separates many American companies from the rest of the world: they try to beat the competition rather than improve themselves. Google, on the other hand, strives to make themselves better, which in turn helps consumers. Sorry Scoble; I feel I must add a bit to what's already been said
