The fact they still don't offer free wifi is ridiculous - Nathan Hull
I totally agree. Even Peet's in SF offers free wifi, along with a lot of local coffee houses... Starbuck's coffee is always so acidic tasting... - Ariane via Alert Thingy
aw man, peets coffee is the business! and like the rest of you, it bites that you have to pay for starbucks wifi...i mean, DAMN! - Tofu De la Moore
I was a fan of Starbucks' new Wifi strategy until I started explaining it to my brother-in-law and heard how ridiculously complicated it sounded coming out of my mouth. ("You need a card, and you have to register it online and link it to AT&T. Then you need to keep a minimum balance of $5 on it and use it once every 30 days. Okay. When you get into the store you get an authorization screen... ") Because, of course, it IS too complicated. Free, by which I mean really free and simple to use, is better. - Bill Barol
not to mention the fact that their coffee sucks ass. - Cameron Reilly via twhirl
I think that "Ditch the music label" helped to solve their issues with Apple! :), but they are still selling physical cds! - Josh Chandler
I agree. I want wifi. - Ryan
And freaking wall outlets. Wifi without power makes me stabby. - Kevin D. White
give me free wifi, and I buy coffee...otherwise, it's on to the next coffee shop I go. - Bob Blunk
having AT&T provide its wireless is dumb. I can't stand at&t. - matt ceniceros

I had the good fortune to work with Marc's daughter Rebecca at PR Newswire. Rebecca and I set at adjacent desks and she was very helpful to me. I never had the good fortune to meet Marc but truly enjoyed working with Rebecca. It's nice to know that this man who resided in the place I now live is so well remembered. - James

Yeah and I double barrelled him with a block on Twitter AND friednfeed. Cameron Reilly hasn't even got the double barrel treatment! - Aaron Brazell
I can understand the kind of humor because I take part in it myself but there's definitely something to be said for subtlety. - Akiva Moskovitz

You missed me ignoring his entire body of work. As he repeatedly does for me. - Aaron Brazell
did it cpl days ago. couple others on twitter today as well. has to be done. - Brian Daniel Eisenberg
That was meant for Aaron, but Erin's was nice too ;) - Michael W. May via twhirl
I blocked him a long time ago. What took you so long? - Robert Scoble
I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, Robert. Sometimes that bites me in the ass. - Aaron Brazell
Isn't blocking Igor either step 3 or 4 in the FriendFeed signup process? - Ken Sheppardson
Defense of friends, mostly. I usually try not to block or filter people in case a bashed friend has need of some ascii support. He's only my 3rd I believe, here and Twitter combined. - Michael W. May
Too right Ken. Most people must have missed that bit: 'If you do not wish to be contacted/annoyed/exposed to Igor the Troll - please uncheck this box' - Patricia Hanrahan
feeling rather sad Igor hasn't gone after me yet. geeez. - Erin Kotecki Vest
Patricia: The whole opt-in/opt-out thing confuses people, I think. - Ken Sheppardson
I just blocked him too. He lives up to his name - Grant
Too bad I can't block on Summize too. Ugh. - Aaron Brazell
just do "-who:nick" on summize - Ken Sheppardson
We actually mentioned him on L33t Tech, I think (can't remember if we were recording yet or not), but we briefly tried to figure out his motivations/loyalties, since he's all over the map. We quickly gave up and decided he was just, as his name says, a troll. - Mark "Rizzn" Hopkins
So winerish is approved urban dictionary adjective nowpwho knew? - Mark Forman
Who is this Igor so that I might block him as well? - Mike Wills
Mark Forman, I would write the definition but I fear for the health and safety of the good employees over at UrbanDictionary.com - Aaron Brazell
Do the UrbanDictionary.com peeps have puppets too? or was that a rss thread... - Mark Forman
Anyone who puts troll in their name, sheesh - Jeremiah Owyang
I haven't blocked anybody yet. I like trolls, sometimes they have the most interesting things to say. - Thomas Hawk
I also don't block many people. Filter some of their feeds to reduce noise, yes. But I will block people who use excessive profanity. Troll perspectives are fresh and different. - Mike Reynolds
right on Thomas Hawk. Igor the Troll is at least interesting. he says what he believes. - Noah David Simon
Troll's perspectives change more than my socks. Look at his history in one thread to the next, sometimes the same thread. He lives up his name. - Michael W. May via twhirl
I personally like people that are nice to others, I think Igor is just a very hyper person. Although, his hate for Scoble disturbs me a lot... - Anthony Farrior
I guess I don't see the point in blocking someone here - because it doesn't stop them from commenting - it only stops *you* from seeing it. Unless I'm terribly confused about it. But it seems to me that I've seen comments in threads by people the owner has blocked, but the rest of us can see, unless we block them too. - Lucretia Pruitt
Did my block last week. A few more will be revealed. I will let u discover on your own. JOY! - Barbara K. Baker
I don't understand everyone blocking Igor. While we as Internet users can block other users on Social Media networks they should not make a public thread of it to make fun of the person. Not only did you block Igor, you made a public thread of it, so others could make fun of Igor. Why did you follow him in the first place, he has never even posted on your Friend Feed page? I guess I am just trying to understand, why did you block him? Did he really deserve to be blocked? Even though he coins himself as Igor the Troll, I don't think he is a troll at all. What did he say to you that was so bad or any of you? He has never said anything bad to me, he has always been nice to me. - Skye B.
Yes, he deserved to be blocked. - Aaron Brazell

i'm around scientists all the time lately cam, i don't think there's a problem w/ the method but rather the political & egotistical nature of just being a scientist today, a generality sure, but i've seen both often & feel like it does add to the problem you're exposing - as for educational improvements to make going into science a desired option for our children, right on... - mike "glemak" dunn
