Resting after two days in the woods for Tree ID class. Yesterday we had the opportunity to walk a Catawba Lands Conservancy parcel near Mountain Island Lake. It's the most diverse natural area in Mecklenburg County and stunning.

Getting ready for a weekend in the woods! Jon and I are taking the Tree and Shrub ID classes at UNCC Botanical Garden.

A restful weekend after three days at Wild Dunes. The weather wasn't great but we still were able to build sand sculptures on the beach and spend some time in Charleston.

The Mint Hill Historical Society sponsored a double decker bus tour of historic sites in Mint Hill last Saturday. It was a great tour and I recommend it it they do it again next year. The Mint Hill Historic Village in downtown Mint Hill is worth a visit.

Getting ready to head to Wild Dunes in Charleston later this week for Allen Tate Company retreat. Will we have good beach weather or not????
