I told someone the other day that Obama writes his own speeches, and they were astonished. I figured I'd better fact-check, so I googled & found this. Vindicated! It would indeed be unrealistic to expect him to do absolutely ALL his writing, but the writing process described here is just so, so much more authentic and trustworthy than, say, the fact that Mark Salter wrote so much of McCain's "memoir." - Amanda
