The reason you have two URL profiles is because you seem to have published comments using both URLs, when you should only have comments with www.lizsperling.wordpress.com. You can still claim both on BackType.com by entering both URLs in http://www.backtype.com/home... — BackType Connect allows you to see conversations happening around the content published on *your* blog. Daniel: Real time is all about having conversations like this one.. in real time, rather than posting a comment, then waiting for a reply as with traditional blog commenting. I was asking the same question just a couple of days ago :) - ASKJDOG

The big difference to me, is with real-time: Player 1 can be playing one of my games with the comment window visible off to the side. Player 2, playing my game somewhere else in the world makes a comment about the game. Player 1 sees that comment instantly and can respond if they like. The Backtype plugin is truly social. Click on the "More from Author" button, and the reader is presented with the commenter's profile on Backtype. Comments from SM can moderated in the same way as site comments. They can also be segregated from the site's native discussion (which I'll be doing from here forward). We let you decide which sources you want included -- we often recommend people disable Twitter as it doesn't bring much value to the conversation, but the plugin will still show how many tweets your post received. - Christopher Golda

I have a 1024 x 768 screen. The blog appears to be set up for a widescreen display. If I zoom out to where it fits on the screen horizontally, the text is too small to read. As a commenter I really appreciate the Disqus system. I tend towards epic length comments, often worth reblogging. Disqus makes that very simple. Disqus seems to be most robust and the beset choice. It does have a performance impact though (but that is true for other commenting systems also). Aside from the “Blogs” source for the plugin, all the comments we pull in are people engaging with your content. If anything, people looking at the ratio of comments per post will get a clearer picture of how many people are engaged.
