It's interesting that there are so many cross VM/CLR languages now: ruby, python, scala, clojure, ...
starting to enter that uncomfortable period before a major .net framework release where I feel a lot of pressure...
...to install pre-release stuff on my machine, since <<favorite open source shiny thing>> is using it.
Nice to be be home finally. I forgot how much I like this place.
Wife and daughters redecorated our bathroom while I was gone. for once I like it, and it wasn't even expensive.
About to start hearing "Clojure in the Field." at #qcon. I am pretty excited and wondering if I will finally fall out of love with types.
@ShawnWildermuth you wouldnt be able to get that hour back
@samnewman there is a really cool video about people in fin. services doing that for real on infoq.com.
@Ang3lFir3 pretty good so far. i am pretty excited about the topics today.
@Ang3lFir3 ummm internet access has been an issue for me when not here at the conference
@donbox twittering keynote at #qcon - if this is the future of keynotes - watching people type - i need stronger coffee
@PhatBoyG yeah, this is like for pay alt.net+, or at least what i wish alt.net was more like (not just .net focus, etc.)
why dont we have large .net apps talks like this?
ended up accidently watching @neal4d 's large rails apps talk at #qcon. it was really good though and i learned several things.
@oshea00 Pretty good. I really liked Continuous Deployment session @treevor and I just came out of. How about you guys?
@oshea00 I am going "offline" pretty quickly. I think I am heading back to my sisters as soon as the last session here ends (7pm, I think)
@oshea00 We should all try and meet up tomorrow night?
Very cool! RT @mattpodwysocki: Native JavaScript Rx announced in Erik Meijer's talk at #pdc09
"Evolving Key/Value Programming Model" talk is about to start. This is the kind of innovative topic I only see at #qcon or #altnet.
I wonder if more java programmers here at #qcon knew about #altnetseattle would they come? If the name was changed? This is a smart group.
Also, David Anderson's Risk Management session was very useful. A lot of thoughts on better ways to help business leaders allocate risk.
