Ubuntu 9.10 has turned out to be a major disappointment on my laptop. 9.04 worked ok, but has older mono and other things wrong with it.
@timbarcz last I heard, we are still shooting for MVP Summit time frame.
@schwarzwald @sforkmann, the fake http://code.google.com/p/fake/ guy made it. Pretty cool stuff.
Been trying to figure out where that came from all morning.
Everyone always dogs on Thomas Erl's books...but are there any *good* SOA books? That's one thing I meant to ask @udidahan at #altnetseattle
@schwarzwald my current problems are around suspend...which I tend to do a lot with a laptop, two kids, and a 3-stage commute
@timbarcz planning right now. @darkxanthos seems to be the man with the plan.
Sometimes kids knowing too many words = bad. "We hate our legal experiences" was random phrase that came out of 7-y.o.'s mouth today
..but never got around to it
Something like twitter lists in google reader might help people like me get back into reading weblogs.
I really the progress towards a better kind of TDD that MSpec enables. It has really helped our team, I believe.
But looking at NaturalSpec, that's so much closer to where we need to be. There is so much less language noise there.
Never realized how good Steve Reich's music is for developing
@darkxanthos it seems like there are a lot of alt languages things going on. @olsonjeffery was telling me about some cool IPy things, etc.
@darkxanthos err...next, next I guess since I think I am missing the next one...when is it?
@darkxanthos next #seattlealtnet we need to have an alternative languages/platforms discussion...
@phatboyg ...for some definition of "developer"
Everytime I see the "dex" tool in the android SDK, I imagine Dexter's dad's voice telling him something
After 7 years of typing "_n_ant" learning to type "ant" is actually kind of hard

Need to find a place to work where it's cool to roll in at 1pm, like where I worked in Silicon Valley.
I really miss late night hacking sessions. Getting up at 3am really puts a dent in that sort of thing.
i like the way they say "nat'tro po'lice" on "the wire". the same thing exists for developers, but we dont sound as cool
"nat'role dee'veloper" sounds lame
gave up and took another bus that claims to go to the same place...through? i love this feeling
@MaggieLongshore yes, the answer.
and people smoking in the only shelter near the bus stop...dont even start with me
busses are so freaking unreliable...esp in the rain
