Lawrence Wallis was a consultant in typography and printing technology whose knowledge and expertise encompassed the printing industry. He supported education both within the printing trades and in graphic arts more widely. His interest in print history was shown in his own writings and research and in his participation in groups such as the Printing Historical Society, the National Printing Heritage Trust, Wynkyn de Worde Society and the Friends of St Bride Library. We invite you to join colleagues, friends and contemporaries of Wallis to share their recollections and observations about his contribution to the printing industry and his career. A small exhibition, for the evening only, will include items from the Lawrence Wallis collections at St Bride Library."
