In gmail, click the "Contacts" link (between the list of folders and the gtalk box) In the resulting page, the second column has a text box where you can type contact address. All your gmail contacts appear in gtalk. Also, anyone who sends you a mail which you reply to is automatically added to your contacts. That help? - Slippy Lane
