Cuz the idiot trolls haven't found it yet? I kid, I kid. Actually, no I don't. - Eric Rice
because people can't game twitter. it is authentic conversations. no trolls - Rodney Rumford
I wonder how well archived FF/Twitter is compared to your blog, however. What are you or FF or Twitter doing to make sure this comment is easily retrieved a year from now? - James Urquhart
It's certainly more flat of an org, than a blog. - Drew
Lots of early adopters. The "masses" haven't found out yet. - Vince DeGeorge
I am just warming up to FF but it seems more organic, maybe when the "masses" find out it will still keep the same feeling. It seems a matter of great equilibrium between isolation and openness. - Andrés David Aparicio
Yes this is an interesting aggregate conversation will need big filter to deal with masses or @ericrice " Cuz the idiot trolls haven't found it yet?" Its not about the quantity of conversation its the QUALITY! We need a real PDA - alla -- http://www.multimediame.net/?p... - to do the filtering for us. - John Anthony Hartman
But doesn't it bother u that this doesn't end up on your blog? Need comment reaggregator! - Elliott Ng
You know why? because there are simply *less* of them. It just turns into too long a tail on your blog. But pretty soon everyone will stampede here and the same problem will recur. - Prokofy Neva
I guess it helps that both FF and Twitter are still pretty self-selecting in terms of who uses them and who you follow. On the other hand, there might be some really nasty comments on your posts, but you might never see them because they are shared among a group of people that is outside of your realm of friend. - Frederic
Elliott It doesn't bother me one bit that you are commenting on FriendFeed instead of over on my blog. I'll go wherever the conversation happens. Those who try to control their communities will lose. - Robert Scoble
Time to shoot comments and make more room ... - Charlie Anzman
Excellent point, Robert. And could to all communities, online and off. - Bill Bittner
friendfeed isn't really as 'comment friendly' as most blogs. no linebreaks, styles, permalinks are hard to get to etc ... or maybe that's a good thing? - David Tapper
I'm sure we'll see improvements to comments in the future. I really think comments is the best part about FriendFeed. Seeing the same people write consistently thought provoking comments leads me to subscribe to them and then it's like I'm tapped into their brain - seeing everything they find important on the web. FriendFeed for me is the best way to find awesome content that I never would have found on my own. - Devin Anderson
I agree with @Devin Anderson. Sometimes I start a post based on a comment that inspired me to write. Love the exchage of thought here! - Anthony Farrior
I wish friendfeed interaction could be embeddable, on my blog at least, as comments... or alike :) - silpol
@Bwana wordpress is not my choice, but thanks for hint - silpol
what you want to do is install disqus.. If only they had a way to move your old comments into there system. Then disqus will show up on FF as well.. Drop them an email.... i'm sure for an uber-blogger like yourself they will find a way! - Jez Arnold
I liked Disqus at first but I think I'm going to remove it so that I can have control over my comment data. Something about giving that control over to them doesn't sit right with me. It seduced me at first, but I want my comments in my database. - Bwana McCall
MSNBC apparently doesn't realise that truck bombs have killed thousands while general aviation terrorism has killed... well, zero. Fucknuts. - ceejayoz
