Passionate about (X)HTML, CSS, PHP and MySQL. I am a wannabe evangelist for these technologies. I also love spending time with my family and listening to music.
I'm fairly certain that Vine is the single most annoying app Thing 1 uses on her phone.
There are some seriously sick people in this world.
Starting season 2 of #HemlockGrove. At this point, though, I'm honestly not sure I remember anything from season 1
I'm trying to decide if I'm going to watch. I thought the first season was kinda cool, and then seriously terrible. I'm not sure if it crossed deeply enough into 'so bad it is funny' territory. - Jennifer Dittrich
Hemlock Grove so desperately wants to be Twin Peaks, it's embarrassing. It's also surprising how popular it is despite how terrible it is. Admittedly, it IS funny to watch Jen Lynch go off about it on Facebook every time someone mentions it. :) - Hookuh Tinypants
Kind of like a B-movie version of Twin Peaks combined with American Horror Story, really. - COMPLICATED MR. NOODLE
I think #HemlockGrove must be subsidized by lobbies to prevent cell phone usage while driving.

If winner of "America's Next Top Model" really is the next top model, shouldn't previous winners be "America's Current/Previous Top Model"?
America's Top Model Emerita - Pete
Tweet inspired by the "Plaque Psoriasis" ad that CariDee English is doing. She introduces herself as "America's Next Top Model", but I'm pretty sure she won 3 or 4 seasons ago. Shouldn't she be "America's Once Top Model, Now Washed Up" or something, since there have been multiple "next top models" since her? - COMPLICATED MR. NOODLE

Just started season 2 of Once Upon A Time. Really? Mulan? Come on!
Also, what happened to Pinnochio? They didn't show whether or not he was saved when the curse was broken at the end of Season 1. I hope he's okay. - COMPLICATED MR. NOODLE from WinForFeed

Holy crap. Just saw a "People you may know" on Facebook that included a guy that was kind of a bully in high school. He looks suspiciously like Biff from Back to the Future, now.
Anyone here use Zend Studio without using the Zend Framework? Is it a good IDE, even if you're not using the Zend Framework? Any other suggestions for reasonably-priced IDEs that, ideally, might even be cross-platform? I actually use Dreamweaver source-view for most of my coding, but it might be nice to use something more targeted toward PHP.
Just FYI, since I have a .edu email address, I can get Zend Studio for a reasonable price (I think it's $29 for me). - COMPLICATED MR. NOODLE

Stinks that you can't use #CSS to control SVG properties unless they're included inline in the #HTML.
Using inline #SVG in #HTML pages; I'm assuming that SVG code gets cached separately for each page, even if it appears the same on all?
RT @unmarketing: Why I almost left Twitter.
It's not just Windows Phone, though. I've come across a lot of Android apps that seem to do the same; I just use them a lot less often.

Unfortunately, in the reruns, they seem to have skipped two episodes from Season 2. They appear to have been episodes that included Barry Allen (The Flash). Not sure if that's why they kept them out or not. - COMPLICATED MR. NOODLE

Really disappointed in the status of Virtualization software nowadays. Years ago, I was able to run SuSE in VirtualBox without any real difference in performance. Now, running any version of Windows in VMWare Fusion on my MBP drags my whole system to a crawl, and attempting to run Ubuntu in VBox on my Windows machine is super slow in the guest. :(
I can understand why it's so difficult to run a modern OS inside of an emulator, but it just boggles my mind as to why it worked so well for me in the past, and is a complete letdown now that we've moved so far forward in hardware. - COMPLICATED MR. NOODLE
Are you having this problem overall? I run Parallels and I feel like my performance is fine with Windows 7. - Eric - Back to the Grill
I like KVM. *ducks* I mean, I like pie. - Julian
I've had this problem overall with VMWare Fusion on my Mac Book. This is the first time I've installed VirtualBox on my Windows machine in a long time (decided I want a local LAMP server to play with, especially since I'm taking an advanced PHP refresher course right now). I'm getting ready to test a different Linux distro on the VirtualBox. - COMPLICATED MR. NOODLE
Go Parallels. I've been using it over VMWare for years. - Akiva
What version of Windows are you running? If you have Windows 8 Pro or higher I'd recommend the built-in Hyper-V over all others. I assume your VMWare Tools were updated and all is good there. Have you tried the latest disk type in Fusion? - Eric - Back to the Grill
As far as VirtualBox goes, it seems like it went immediately off a cliff in many senses as soon as Oracle bought it. That's part of why I stopped using it a long time ago; as soon as Oracle released their first version, there were a bunch of Linux distros that wouldn't even boot up anymore in it, and after a year or so of intermittent testing, they still hadn't fixed any of those issues. - COMPLICATED MR. NOODLE
VirtualBox is not the greatest IMO. It's free, so that's good. Otherwise, VMWare Workstation or Hyper-V are much better on Windows. - Eric - Back to the Grill
Thanks for the suggestion. Turning on Hyper-V right now. I'll give that a shot. - COMPLICATED MR. NOODLE
Hyper-V doesn't have the official support of Linux distros like VMWare has, but SUSE, Ubuntu, and Red Hat are covered if you want native support. - Eric - Back to the Grill
Yeah, I'll give Ubuntu or Red Hat a try. Just want something, other than trying to setup a WAMP server, where I can do some basic Web server config testing. Whatever flavor of Unix/Linux I run doesn't really matter to me. I already have a portable WordPress install I can run in Windows, but for general PHP dev or apache config stuff, I really need a full LAMP stack somewhere, and don't really feel like dual-booting. - COMPLICATED MR. NOODLE
After fighting with Ubuntu for a few hours in Hyper-V (the image loads up just fine, but I couldn't seem to get any Internet connection set up for use with it, so I couldn't really install it), I started looking around at other options. It looks like Hyper-V actually only "officially" supports Red Hat (which is enterprise/payware - not sure if they support Fedora or not), SuSE (most... more... - COMPLICATED MR. NOODLE
Update: Got OpenSUSE installed with no serious issues. Networking seems to work properly. Been a long time since I've messed with SUSE (it was purely a KDE distro the last time I used it), so it will take a little getting used to using YAST instead of APT/Synaptic again, but I'm looking forward to it. - COMPLICATED MR.
