For those who work somewhere that uses an MS Exchange backend for their mail, this has existed for years.. but only for those within the same exchange domain, and only if they use exchange instead of pop3. You can recall your emails, this looks like they've added a 5 second delay before google sends your email. - alphaxion

AOL users have been able to do this for years, but only with emails sent to other AOL users. And there is no time limit on it, as long as the email is still unread. If the recipient hasn't read it yet, you can still yank it right out of their inbox a few weeks later. (and they let you check status too, so you know if they did or not) It can be really weird when someone does it to you and you see the mail in your inbox, then it just disappears. - April Russo (app103)
