@flangy I was asking for that and you, sir, are a true gentleman for adding it. That change will kill one of my biggest annoyances w/ E :-)
@Hicksdesign Be sure to send your hedgehog sighting info to your local biodiversity record centre. You in Wiltshire? http://www.wsbrc.org.uk/
@flangy So far, E seems to be the only app I use that makes any use of them at all (apart from the default apps). It shows recent files.
@flangy Were you thinking of giving E a bit of a Win7 makeover then. ;-)
@flangy Going back to my XP work PC always makes me cringe a bit. It's pretty clunk.
@flangy Stylizer is a killer CSS editor. Windows 7 feels like a big improvement over XP to me; it's hard not to like it. :)
@flangy ... and by "Explorer" I mean Windows Explorer, rather than Internet Explorer.
@flangy Having said that, the grabbable area of chrome above the tabs in Chrome is too small. Would be better if it were more like Explorer.
@flangy You hate Chrome? I like it a lot personally. I also love the new Win 7 explorer. Microsoft finally got whitespace. About time.
Big news - XHTML (2) is almost dead. Long live HTML5. http://www.zeldman.com/2009...
@flangy The secret to the Vista/Win7 look is no menu bar. We're talking IE7/8, Office, Chrome, WMP, Explorer, Stylizer - lots of Aero chrome
A great article on design, reduction, simplicity, emotion and signal vs noise: http://www.presentationzen.com/present...
@jm Bit late this, but: "Elegance is when code is as simple as possible, but no simpler."
If, like me, you like simplicity in life (I prefer the term 'clarity', but whatever), here's a good blog: Simplessity » http://simplessity.com/
I don't know how they've done it, but MS have done a truly magnificent job on Win 7's memory management. It never bogs, even after hours.

Just heard on radio that a company is accepting orders for Twitter followers. That's right, you can pay for followers. Can't find source.
@tdominey It gives some people a headache too.
@tdominey Modern 3D isn't like the old blue/red and I don't find blurry. But can be tricky to fit the glasses over my own ones.

@andybudd At academic conferences, I'm usually one of the ones @zeldman speaks of. There are usually plenty of us. Usually all on Twitter.

I bet John Connor knew/knows/will know the difference between a search engine and a web browser.
If you're one of those who doesn't know what a web browser is, don't worry, you're not gonna last long when the machines take over.
@flangy It is down to a .NET bug, I believe: http://www.annoyances.org/exec...
