More outrageousness from petty, small-minded religious people. If you want to believe in your religion, hey, great for you. Just keep it to yourself. It takes a very special kind of misplaced and all-consuming fear to lash out like this. Hey, Bill Donohue and the Catholic League (which would actually be a pretty good band name): Just because you're clinging with white knuckles to a fairy tale that fills the void where healthy people store self-identity, there's no need to flip out out at books and movies because you're afraid they might contradict the particular brand of mythology to which you subscribe. But you'll never open up to reason. You've boxed yourself into your little corner of hate. What's truly startling is how effectively it works in the US, and apparently only the US. Do we really have that many weak, fearful people here? I need to move.
