So what other music-infused hero games are on the way? Growing up with Weird-Al, I hope they're working on Accordion Hero.
Have you people bothered to check a calendar today? It's Nov 9th. Nov 17th is, like, half a year away. #L4D2
@gogobigred Ooh good idea. See you next week!
Steam let folks "pre-load" #L4D2. You download the entire thing, but you can't play it until Nov. 17th. This was a horrible idea.
Point is you don't have to wait to download a 7GB game when it is released, which can take hours :) - Andru Edwards
From the vault of Dumbest Things I've Heard: "Still on XP. Next OS I'll get is Chrome." Not telling who said it cuz I like the guy.
@mdhughes Oh I know. I still get to call it a dumb idea. ;)
TextExpander is completely hosed on the Mac Pro. Won't start up, reinstall didn't fix, shows none of my snippets. First time ever.
@wilw There's also over 85 developers holding a 20% off sale at http://www.onefingerdiscount.com/. Pretty unprecedented, fantastic products.
@sdevore Promo from 7-11, of all places. At least here in Chicago. :D
Apparently I am running absolutely no applications. At all. http://davebc.com/photos...
Whoa, Web2Delight installed "WDScheduleDaemon" to run at startup? No idea what that is, don't remember a prompt. Deleted, uninstalled.
PR rep who sent that "RE:" email got in touch to clear things up. I actually did miss his first email. Misunderstanding this time on my part
@j_timmer Indeed, only time will tell.
You know, out of all this talk about a discount on a finger, I have yet to see someone actually produce said digit.
@ejacqui I am so working "snappy" into this iTunes piece I'm writing for Macworld, just for you. Twice.
@marcoarment Your weather app should have a social network, and social weather sharing, and turn-by-turn directions. And Push Notifications.
@dssstrkl Then I'll raise the bar to Linux. OS X is too expensive to produce, especially as Macs go more mainstream. Untenable.
@marcoarment No, I've looked.
Among the colloquialisms I hope never to use again: "built from the ground up." Yell at me if you catch it in my writing.
@dssstrkl I dunno, I bet I could work out a decent theory on why Apple can only survive if it drops Mac prices and pre-installs Windows 7.
@dssstrkl Heck, OS X is already "Linux in a pretty shell," right? Makes total sense. Only way Apple can compete in new marketplace.

@jsnell Verizon could pull the trick it uses with BlackBerry ads: "RIM's product sucks on [their] network, but it's great on ours."
@tdeffen I.E., they aren't letting the product or announcement stand on its merits. Deceptive tactics = insta-delete.
@tdeffen Yes, but the point is that the culture changed, and these marketing types are taking advantage of it to sucker you into reading.
@danielpunkass Right. For better or worse, the culture changed, and they're trying to take douchey advantage of it.
Dear Marketing Types: Prefixing your first email with "RE:" is an insta-delete. There will be no discussion about this.
