Lumping me in with people who have decreased their usage is as dumb as lumping me in with people who detested Google Wave. If you're going to reference somebody, make sure you pay attention to the data to show you got the story right. I am at close to 300 comments and likes each in the last week. Tapering off? I don't think so.

Some people try to kill tools that may not have more evolution, some of us try to embrace what we have up until the point where it is of no use anymore. That's not a slam on Scoble or MG, it's a pat on the back to the community (including Louis).

Still, Facebook (traditional social network) and FriendFeed (social media aggregator) remain two different beasts with two different purposes. I don't see them fusing, but I do see them as complementary. Each has its own niche (as do Twitter, Google Reader, Posterous, etc.). Let's hope Facebook come to see this.

That article smacks of the "me too" blogospheric echo chamber. With the exception of Robert Scoble, I'd wager that most of the people writing FF off barely participated, and so missed out on getting a taste for Friendfeed's "special sauce" anyway
