"Hashtags longer than 15 characters typically don't work with the # at the front. I see this all the time on wthashtag.com where longer hashtags don't return results. Simply dropping the tag will yield results, however. It's something Twitter needs to fix. No spam, no hacks, just a bug."

Go for the Rackspace Cloud .... best. hosting. ever.

we've got a limited budget ($50/mo), so even the best hosting isn't going to be an option.

on that budget MediaTemple may be a good bet

that's what we're leaning at, just need to make the decision between Grid-Service and Dedicated Virtual. not sure if the extra $30 would be worth it or if there's a simple upgrade path if we start low

there's a fairly simple upgrade path... but it's not really worth it. I've use both their services and grid is the best for the dollar
