I fried my Q1 Ultra! Am very sad as it was near-perfect after all the mods. Now what? Am using the SC3 at the moment but this battery life is a constant worry. Loving the size, FF and feastures though. If ithad just 1 hour more battery life i'd even be happy leaving Vista on it.
No, the SC3 has to go. If I cant play inline video, i'm missing a lot of good and well-compressed content. NEXT! - Steve 'Chippy' Paine
So Wibrain B1. How will you perform? You feel more comfortable as i resume the leaning back position im used to with the q1u. You perform better than the sc3 and i see 3hrs battery life. You're a bit noisy though and lets face it you're ugly. Will need to get used to your keyboard too. - Steve 'Chippy' Paine
Wibrain fails the video playback test too. Im out of devices...apart from my Medion Akoya (msi wind) but my problem is that i want to be mobile. I don't want to have to find a table. Wishing i had the Amtek U560 right now. Wibrain wins today though due to great portability. I think ill adopt it as my personal UMPC until something better comes along. - Steve 'Chippy' Paine
The 4.8" screen of the Wibrain is perfect for two-handed operaion but wont convert to tabletop mode as its too small. 7" has to be the way forward for me if i want to carry just one computer. I keep thinking 'ultra premium' with ssd and hsdpa mod... - Steve 'Chippy' Paine
Wibrain getting a bit warm out here in the sun but performing well. This little re-visit has got me very interested in the Atom-based i1. http://www.umpcportal.com/product... - Steve 'Chippy' Paine
Cue the answer to my problem... The Fujitsu U2010. http://www.umpcportal.com/2008... - Steve 'Chippy' Paine
Sorry about your Q1 frying. - Warner Crocker
Note to self...you wanted a 7" screen for better tabletop productivity. - Steve 'Chippy' Paine
This is getting silly. Now the heat and noise of the wibrain are annoying me. I would try the msi wind but it needs a table or lap and it also has crap battery life and its also big and heavy. Its becoming very clear, although i knew this already, that a 7" screen at 1024x600 is able to handle more scenarios. From casual to productivity. - Steve 'Chippy' Paine
