08:40. Started Aigo MID-as-DAP battery life test. (No wifi, BT, screen off) My estimate: 5 hours.
1.5hrs later...the device is totally cool. No heat build-up whatsoever while on desk. - Steve 'Chippy' Paine
12:15, Aigo dead. Not as good as I expected. 3.5hrs at about 20% CPU utilisation. Now to recharge and try an idle/standby test. 3.5hrs is LESS than the Wifi-on music streaming test I did with the Ubuntu-based Gigabyte M528 earlier this year. Maybe Midinux isn't as power efficient. It could be that the visualisation was running all the time though. - Steve 'Chippy' Paine
Aigo fully charged (2.5hrs charging time) - Steve 'Chippy' Paine
14:53 Now starting simple idle test. Screen timeout: 2 mins. No apps running. No auto-shutdown. - Steve 'Chippy' Paine
was it on or off while charging? mine charges in hour while off... - jkkmobile
OK, it could have been less than 2 hours to honest as I didnt check very often. It was OFF. - Steve 'Chippy' Paine
idle test seems to have worked for about 5 hours but to be honest, my winter BBQ evening took precidence and I gave up waiting for the damn thing to run out! - Steve 'Chippy' Paine
