Am I mistaken, or is Google simply neglecting FeedBurner to death? I changed a site's name sers 18 hours ago -- FB still sees the old one. FB's feedback email now bounces, and the only support is through a Google forum. What a shame.
The typo in the parent is supposed to be "name server." - Chris Baskind
So I've been going through FeedBurner's ironically named "support" forums. It's nothing but people talking to the ether: "I have no stats ... my feed is broken ... hello, FeedBurner?" Nobody from Google or FeedBurner is answering. There's no community. It's sad. - Chris Baskind
Google does this often. They buy a property then let it slowly go to hell and die. I am always amazed by how many tech folks worship Google given how bad they really are at maintaining or supporting ... well... anything. - Soulhuntre
I know. They just let things die. It would be nice to let us know that once it gets absorbed into the cloud that you are cutting it off. Go read the blog posts of these start ups. They are hilarious: "Google is going to be great for us!" then later "We are working hard on some improvements" then finally "The support for this product will be terminated on..." GrandCentral...Jaiku...Feedburner...what's next? - Brian Bufalo
Hey, that's a good find, Kemal. Explains Google's neglect -- to an extent. - Chris Baskind
nice one, Kemal! when will it launch I wonder? - Sarah Perez
I totally agree with Brian, they buy really cool stuff and then it dies, there is so much potential if they could get grand central, jaiku, greader and gtalk to work together, but not. - Jon Erickson
Google doesn't neglect. They just have bad policies and vision. They are not your father's Google. - LPH™ and his dog P™
