#BS1003 Progress towards making any crop drought-tolerant - http://www.biology-blog.com/blogs...
In cell & developmental biology we are currently studying the effects of the plant growth hormones auxins and cytokinins. Worth mentioning also are hormones that inhibit growth such as the plant stress hormone abscisic acid. Most plants are adapted to survive through drought naturally by producing this hormone which slows growth, lessening the dependence on minerals and water. Pyrabactin is a man-made chemical that acts much like the plant stress hormone by sharing the molecular shape as the stress hormone receptors, resulting in an inexpensive way of helping plants survive through adverse conditions. - Chris Cola
Being incredibly sleep deprived while reading about sleep stages and their restorative properties is incredibly ironic.
#BS1015 Nothing like an essay with lots to write about to get back into the swing of things!
I totally agree. It forces you to recap everything so you actually understand what your writing about! And the earlier i start writing the essay the more time i will have to look it over. It will probably take me quite a while to get into the writing mode because its been quite a while since i wrote an essay.A good guide to writing for science http://www2.le.ac.uk/offices... - Maryam
Thanx that was actually quite a good...i kinda didnt know how to start my essay either...and it's kinda confusing because of all the stuff about plagiarism aswell :\ - Naison Chitiyo
#BS1010 Well it took a lot of time, especially since the Wiley database was offline for a while, but I managed 100% on the quiz :D
I found that problem too when I was looking for full text versions of each of the articles, but well done - Nathan
