Facebook: Just tried uploading some photos (so I could try your photo badge). Is this REALLY how you expect people to use this? No extraction of EXIF data (captions, geotags etc). Wow.. hopefully the friendfeed team can teach you a few tricks.
BTW you might want to make it easier for people to add data so you can _actually_ search for something. Oh yeah I get some crazy java errors (multiple Java virtual machines) on firefox (multiple times). I should probably read the terms of use and see exactly what rights I'm giving up!!

I'm getting really grumpy. With friendfeed I had visions of how my life would be getting easier, more open and flexible, allowing me a chance to spend more time interacting on the web instead of just being an observer. Closed systems that require me to re-enter data SUCK. and I will continue to refuse to use them!!

UPDATE: this is what I did.. I highlighted some photos of our trip and uploaded small versions to facebook (with a watermark of a non-facebook site). On my album cover I wrote the links to where people should REALLY view the photos etc. It will be interesting to see what happens. I have 25,000 photos that I have spent days/weeks adding EXIF data, and geotags.. I am NOT going to duplicate that for facebook. Just doing what I did took an hour..an hour I COULD have spent interacting, and maybe even clicking on some ads..

Ooops commented to early, then I had to spend another 15 minutes re-organizing photos because they are ordered by filename, something that I have never _needed_ to worry about in a *real photo tool*..I want to master my data in a single location that is optimized for the item, then I want to share it through open channels where ever I want, to get comments and feedback.. you know socialize!! BTW I don't really expect facebook to know how to manage photos, but I want to be able to easily use a product that does!! Open in and Open out
