No, I don't think it's FriendFeed like at all. The live feed is the same as what they had already. They introduced the new "News Feed", which is what's different. The new "News Feed" is basically everything from the live feed that people are actively talking about. The only FF-like thing about it is the auto-introduction of new stuff without refreshing.

Otto, Jorge, maybe you're right. Previously, "Live Feed" was FriendFeed-esque. They had a FriendFeed-like feed at one point.

Actually, it is auto-refreshing. Jorge, no, it's not the "x new posts" thing it had before. If you're not seeing it yet it hasn't rolled out to you yet.

I'm finding the new News Feed is more interesting. Basically, it's just the content that is being liked/discussed. Easier to find conversations, but I'm not sure it's a good thing that it seems to be the default view...

Tony, you may be able to do something with the filters on the left - not sure if you can filter by app type though (I doubt it)

What I mean is, If you've become a fan of say "Mafia Wars", you can add updates that come from the makers of that app to a list yes. But that won't include updates that your friends have made using that app. Requesting assistance with missions and what not.

Facebook's Live Feed is auto-refreshing just fine for me. I'm using Safari for Windows. BTW, I hide all those annoying games. ;)

I haven't been to Banff yet this year. or Lake Louise for that matter. I don't know if the road is open yet. but if you're in the Lake Louise area you must go to Moraine Lake. It's better than Lake Louise. (I'm in Calgary!!)

Also. quite touristy, but you should do the Gondola up Sulfur Mountain (or you can hike up). Nice views from up there.
