Does anyone else have a problem learning with 30dc plus podcasts? -- I find I unconciously tune out the noise - the podcast ends & I haven't heard more than a couple of words. No matter how hard I try I have not managed to absorb anything from a podcast yet - videos are great though - that's why 30dc worked, but the podcasts don't - any way we could have transcripts of the podcasts. - Ginger G

I learn better by reading, so I find the video podcasts hard, especially the skype ones. The audios from mac world taken with the livescribe (or whatever it is called - lol) pen have way too much background noise for me to pay attention. Must be my ADD. - CHRISTIE INGRAM

Just want to say that I really like the podcasts, the audios, as I can put them on my iPod and keep doing other stuff, like driving. Videos I must focus on, which is OK but I can't do much else, same with reading. All are good is my point, in their own time and place. - Mike Staskiewicz

This has been a recurring comment in this room - we all learn differently. Lucky the 30DC team recognised this and gave us all a way to absorb the great info they produced in the standard challenge, maybe it will come in time with the plus content. Those of us who are also in the teaching/coaching world should also see the value in having our own info available in many different formats. :-) - Kim Baillie

For the podcasts, the only thing that has worked for me is sitting back and closing my eyes. Otherwise I get distracted and start doing other stuff. Also, taking notes from time to time keeps me from dozing off ;) - Jorge Blanco

You hit the nail on the head - people use different mediums and we think very carefully about which one we use. In fact - thats a great idea for a 30dc plus article!!! - Ed Dale

Eish! I can listen to a podcast while driving, cause then I have to stay awake. With the limited sleep I get any time I try to sit still and listen I fall asleep. :-( - Frans

Ginger G What do you mean you "ignore distractions & background noise" 1. Do you mean you can't concentrate on a lecture? or 2. are you saying there is a lot of distraction & background noise (the lecture is unclear and garbled) on the MP3 lecture? (I think everyone is taking it the 1st way) (I take it the 2nd way) - Russ

I agree with Ginger, I love the videos but have a lot of difficulty staying tuned into podcast. - Susan

I find podcasts great for when the reason behind things being explained but love having the videos to watch. Although get green screen in itunes due to having Nvidia Card I am told. One negative i find it hard to stay with nez as his voice goes very monotone. - John Cusick

I'm so ashamed - my screenflows are not coming up in a format supported by iPhone and iPod (apple TV) is good - there is a fix that will work while I get my act together (if someone can see what I am doing wrong - love the feedback) - highlight the file you want on the ipod -

go to the advanced menu and select create ipod version and you will be all set - Ed Dale

Ed - about rooms what if you are unsure about continuing in a particular niche? - Groobers

Ed, Two videos in the feed have synched up properly to my iPod Video player without this fix: "Welcome" and "Product Creation." I hope this helps as you work things out. - Roger Carr

Did the advanced menu thing but then I realized of course it won't work on the ipod shuffle (no video duh) let's hope santa does not forget my iTouch! - Groobers
