Working on a game that takes a lifetime to learn, but only a minute to master. It's really mostly just instructions.
Alex and I agree that it's quite easy to confuse the plots of A Little Night Music and The Seagull.

@alittlethought The great sin of political correctness is it punishes everyone for the intentions (or thoughtlessness) of some.
@RoofCoffeeCup yay biz cards! I need to come up with a reason to print my own now.
@alittlethought I did some research, looks like docs have abandoned it as well. Sad; the phrase had utilitarian meaning, once. Anyway, thx!
Fun fact: complaining about your job on Twitter draws spammers like flies to roadkill.
@alittlethought can you send some links to verify offical offensiveness of "retarded?" My impression was it still had clinical value.

In the next week or so, I want to post some ideas for holiday gifts that don't cost a lot. There's always the homemade route, but let's face it, only some people are good at pulling that off. What I'm looking for are ideas for how someone can assemble decent gifts for not much money, either by taking advantage of free offers, or coupons, or BOGO specials; or by repackaging cheap stuff or used stuff in a way that makes it special. If I can't come up with a list that doesn't scream tacky, I'll probably shelve the post. But I thought I'd ask our most frequent readers if they have any ideas. If so, don't post them here! Email them to me directly at chris@consumerist.com and I'll try to use them. - Chris Walters

Gevalia doesn't make it easy to cancel--must sit through long phone trees and hold times or send snail mail, no online access. Bad form.
@GitEmSteveDave I would have ejection dysfunction disorder. But honestly, it sounds kind of fun.

@katstermonster Believe me, I'm embarrassed that I even signed up! I was testing a morning deal (didn't post it) and it went bad. #gevalia

Chris Walters wrote Company Sued For Selling Beatles MP3s Says They're Original Works, So It's Okay - http://consumerist.com/5398146...
Since the Beatles are notorious for refusing to release their music online, the mere fact that BlueBeat.com was selling them was kind of strange, which probably explains why EMI just sued them for copyright infringement. But BlueBeat has come up - Chris Walters

In Michigan, utilities can increase rates without first getting approval, but that means the Michigan Public Service Commission can later reduce them. That's what happened on Monday, when the Commission ordered Consumers Energy to refund about $39.6 million to customers - Chris Walters
