A Buzz button that doesn't operate via Reader! Wonderful. I now will wait patiently for someone to take this code and turn it into a Chrome extension.

I love Backupify but had to this point not used it for Gmail, since it required my login credentials. No more! I've got to think this and Syphir are just the first of very cool things to come._

Web interface is very basic for now, and no Windows version yet, but sounds like that is planned, along with more functionality. Maybe I should give doubletwist another try._

Great post by Mahendra, be sure to click thru for the rest. I disagree about Facebook, but that may be my personal experience of it. The only thing compelling about Facebook for me is that parts of my social graph are represnted there are nowhere else online, and I have to actively prune back irrelevant aspects of it (e.g. blocking irrelevant applications, etc.) That seems to be a weak foundation, as those people that are keeping me there could easily end up elsewhere (cf. Friendster, MySpace, etc.)

Oh, for goodness sake. This was all fixed with 48 hours. And when at any point did "using Buzz disclose your email on a very public scale"?

Alinea's Grant Achatz on diners' use of cameras in restaurants. A very fair piece. Even as someone who now and then snaps a picture of an impressive dish I'm served in a restaurant, I can't find anything in this piece I disagree with.

"While we’re huge Apple fans at Pixelpipe I have to say the restrictions put on developers is a real concern. If developers are able to innovate & provide a better user experience with-in the bounds of an official OS release without harming the user then what’s the problem?"

Hadn't heard they were sharing ad revenue, but they've been doing so with carriers since the beginning-- I remember articles about the "less than free" model that was going to make Android more attractive to carriers, than, say WinMo.
