(from nextdoor.com) I can highly recommend Camp Winnarainbow, exactly 200 miles from Palo Alto (or my house, anyway) in Laytonville, Calif. We call it "hippie meets hip hop", also, "the antidote to Silicon Valley". Officially, it's sort of a circus camp, sort of a hippie camp, lots of activities, lots of freedom of choice, and a lake with a waterslide for swimming opportunities. website is www.campwinnarainbow.org, happy to answer specific questions.
