"Last year I considered looking for a new house. My income had doubled over the past 4 years since I'd bought my first house and the family had gotten bigger so we started to search for a house we liked. I was approved for $200,000 no money down. I had to scratch my head wondering why the heck they approved me for that much. Because there was no way I could afford to make payments on that. I'm glad I ended up not buying a new house just yet. Making do with what I have. I have no sympathy for banks that approved people for more than they are worth or the people who didn't stop to think on how much they could actually afford. You need to take in account that you may lose a job down the road or have unforeseen emergencies." - Jesse Nachtigal
