Re: How to Use Posterous as an Alternative for Twitter Photo Services - http://lifestreamblog.com/how-to-...
"Well, I agree with that. For photos I think Pixelpipe edges out PicPosterous a bit on the iPhone, but if you need to do anything else posterous probably has an advantage. I thought it deserved a little more love then you were giving it." - Charles

Re: How to Use Posterous as an Alternative for Twitter Photo Services - http://lifestreamblog.com/how-to-...
"Are you kidding? Did you really even look at Pixelpipe? Posterous is pretty nice, but pixelpipe is dead simple. The number of sites you can send it to far exceeds posterous, and posterous itself is included. The iPhone app is so much better then PicPosterous. I can easily scroll through my Photos, add a title and caption (wish the text field expanded, but you can put a lot of text in there) and upload multiple photos at once. You can't control where you post with PicPosterous, you can with PixelPipe, and it handles blog posts and updates too. Posterous will with email of course, but I fined the short cuts for PixelPipe makes it faster if I want to send to only specific services. You might want to check it out again." - Charles

More on Favrd’s Shuttering - http://www.zeldman.com/2009...
Dean Allen shuts down Favrd, a site that ranked tweets based on the number of stars. A lot of people think he should of passed it on, but is response (linked above) explains his reasoning and I personally agree with him. I also have a tendency to place too much value on the responses or lack of responses to my posts on twitter/flickr/facebook. It's one reason I tend to respond more than I post. - Charles

Re: My Thoughts on Posterous as a Lifestreaming Platform - http://lifestreamblog.com/my-thou...
"I need the import funcationality. Flickr is a big part of what I do. Posterous doesn't allow me the control I need when posting there. With tools like Lightroom 3 integrating so closely with Flickr that's what I'll be using to post there. As cool as posterous is, if I can't import those photos into it, it's mostly worthless to me. I can't figure out how I'd use it. Maybe they can just pick select services. No rss feeds. And if they import something like Twitter, filter out @ replies and retweets. I'd really live it if they could import my Twitter then push the photo back out to a couple other blogs including posterous of course." - Charles

Nintendo admits 'dark' future if it can't differentiate from iPhone - http://www.appleinsider.com/article...
Not sure how much truth there is here, but there is some I think. Games are fairly cheap on the iPhone, compared to the DS or PSP. I'm sure it is cutting into their sales to some extent. The iPhone makes it easy to sell world wide, but does that make up for the cheaper prices? They get 70% from iPhone sales, how does that compared to boxed games? - Charles

Mike believe's Leica's back. The M9 is great, and Leica needed full sized sensor for all their M users. $7000 US is out of my price range, but a lot of people will pay it. The X1 though? Digital camera have gotten better, but it's still improving rapidly. $2000 for a fixed lens camera just seems like a mistake. Even if it cost more I might have paid for a m4/3s camera and lens. At least I could take the lens with me. I love the manual controls on the X1. I hope Panasonic or Oly take a hint from that design. - Charles

Regarding Evernote - http://www.evernote.com/
Agreed. I've been using Evernote lately, but I don't like it. The software sucks. It takes too long and too many 'clicks' to start a new note. Takes too long to edit an existing note. The web isn't designed well. If I'm already logged on why does it bring me to the intro page? It's more about prompting themselves then making a good user experience. - Charles
