I love that the people that hated on the first favicon change now want the old favicon back. :) It's easier to pick out when you have a sea of tabs, so I like it better from that perspective. - Matt Cutts

That's partially true. I only see the colorful one on pages OTHER THAN the homepage. If you visit google.com alone, it's the blue one. - Ari Herzog

It was very creative as people are used to comparing rpms. It's just usually SSDs are characterized by iops, which are the key numbers (read, write, sustained, random, etc). But I supposed people don't have a feel for those yet. - todd
