Thanks! I swung it so I can stay in Miami for the weekend. =D

I'm about 4 hours away. I would join you there, but My grandfather died a year ago today and we have a big to do at the church for him. I'm helping plan it . I'm hoping next time I'll make it. Or who knows, I might end up in your neck of the woods!

- KINGSLEY OSEVWE
Ace sent me this a few days ago. he's got 6 volumes of unreleased joints. this is volume 1. the significance of this track, aside from being a banger, is that we get a dosage of classic guru most of us have not heard. RIP Guru.

One of the saddest days in hip hop was when I found out Prince Paul would not be producing any more De La Soul albums. A little something died that day.
Ummm, he was more of a figure head on the first two. The group really handled most of the production on De La Is Dead...my fave album from them.
- Bryan R. Adams
I've heard that before about him being more a figure head, but somehow, whatever he was to them, their music hasn't been the same since. And that still makes me sad.
- TINY REPTILIAN PYROMANIAC
De La is coming with a new album. Maseo's exact words where: NEW ALBUM COMING SOON! Stakes is High is my fav album and Stakes is High is my fav De La track.
- Remo
Prince Paul had a show with his son on Ustream called Negroes on Ice. Not sure or he still does that. But there is always the archive.
- Remo
The show he did on XM Radio was the bestest.
- Eric
paul did a red bull session where he tip toed through the story of them falling off. paul is an icon regardless.
- Carlos Ayala
I love this album. But I warn you it's not for everyone. It's very vulgar. If you like Sean P and are familiar with his drops --- this is a must have. If you like thugged out, real, hiphop -- this album is a must have. And @1.99 you cant beat it. The offer ends soon.

+ This is not for the kids! + A sneak peek into the Doom Ace album using a track that wont be on the album. Typical Doom. Typical Ace. Cannot wait for this to drop.

Massive work from one of the funkiest drummers of all time -- the legendary Bernard Pretty Purdie, stepping out here in a batch of instrumentals that may well be his greatest album ever! Bernard's drums are right up front in the mix -- leading off all tunes with a full, funky, echoey sort of approach that's unlike anything else we can think of -- and certainly different from any other...

Legendary drummer Bernard "Pretty" Purdie created what may be the holy grail of break-beats with his album Soul Drums, one of the most sought after drum LPs among serious crate diggers. Purdie is now set to re-release Soul Drums (first time on CD + digital), his first solo album, which will include 8 bonus tracks rumored to be his "lost" sophomore LP (Alexander's Rag Time Band) next...

- Carlos Ayala
Post-breakfast coma, dreaming of poolside hiphop and waiting for a paycheck. Maybe some chicken ribs latter, you feel me? :)
- TINY REPTILIAN PYROMANIAC
way ahead of you smokey peep breakfast right here: http://yfrog.com/h76fppzj shit gets crazy on saturday... just had another jelly and now pondering 5 guys. nutty.
- Carlos Ayala
Ooh, that looks good. I have no photographic evidence, but we *may* have had strawberry smoothies (using strawberries Alton picked on a field trip to a... farm!), hash browns, sawsage, bacon and scrambled eggs.
- TINY REPTILIAN PYROMANIAC
I'm stlll shocked that *I* spent 6 years of my life changing diapers. That was definitely never in the plans. I couldn't even begin to imagine what some of my friends with 4 or 5 kids with 2 - 3 years between them have endured.
- Anika
I am looking at that thinking it would be great for my cat litter waste.
- Janet-The Bottley Crue
You should have another. You make beautiful kids.
- Carlos Ayala
Carlos, you crazy. I'm a raging bitch when I'm pregnant. All my friends have begged for me never to get pregnant again. They say I'm like a mean, hormonal drunk. <shrug> And I really don't ever want to do all that newborn stuff again.
- Anika
That's fancy! Ours is just a regular rectangle kitchen Rubbermaid container thing.
- Rochelle
i'll take your crazy ass then...ive seen the results. gonna have to have a talk with the hubster. maybe he can make somethin happen at 3am. on the sneak tip of course.
- Carlos Ayala
You're horrible, LOL. You know, he was supposed to have gotten a vasectomy a week before I found out I was pregnant with our first kid. And I'm convinced that your way is how we wound up with our second.
- Anika
sliding up @ 3am always does the trick....or so im told... /shrug

Ha. I work with three girls - two of whom are still solidly in diapers (2.5 years old and almost 1). I sometimes contemplate counting how many diapers I change in a day and then decide that would be too depressing. The 2 year old is starting to want to potty train and I'm STOKED.
- Lis
I'm on the countdown to potty training the last one. Both boys trained right around 25 months, so I'm hoping the girl follows suit, she's 21 months.
- Heather Solos
Two years later...I've just spray painted this black. It's finally going to be a compost bin. Finally. Two. Years. Later. *headdesk*
- Anika
You should start a blog called GeekMom! I'd be your first subscriber! :)
- Shevonne
I have a second bib that I'm going to do and then hang them both on the wall in Toby's room. I don't know what QR code to do for the second bib, though.

"PEOPLE who live in the Orlando area will tell you that there is life here beyond the theme parks, gator farms and citrus groves. You can’t go far without stumbling upon a picturesque lake, and the area abounds with small regional museums like the Zora Neale Hurston National Museum of Fine Arts in nearby Eatonville. Downtown, the new Amway Center, home of the Orlando Magic, has given a boost to the night-life district on Church Street, and Orlando’s many neighborhoods are home to lounge acts, bars, vintage fast-food joints and brick-paved streets."

I love Winter Park - great farmer's market, The Wine Room, Penzy's, Mellow Mushroom pizza... beautiful park right next to the train tracks... I'll have to check out Rifle Paper Co. next time we're that way.

Mel, I love how they would pose for you. I know how you shoot and you like to get natural shots, but everytime you picked up your camera, they got all single file line status for you. :)
- Derrick
"Yeah, so we're in the studio now, laying down some tracks. They wanna get Diddy in on it, but I'm hoping we can work with Reznor, cause he seems like a cool guy..."
- Derrick
Diddy, Reznor, Derrick & Mariachi... I'll take it on vinyl!
- Jason Wehmhoener
That is so totally full of win that it makes me "SQUEEEE"!
- Lindsay
Ay Papi...this pic is awesome. I'm going to go make myself a margarita in honor of it.
- Mark Krynsky
Most drum'n'bass is pretty intense. Try Goldie's saturnzreturn album, track 1 on disc 1 where he goes on a rant of his mother for an hour followed by the frenetic temper temper for 15 mins.

What is the flash point for carbon in that form?
- Sparky, lurking
Damn, Sparky, I just know that you can destroy a diamond with a blowtorch because of a film in chemistry class...I don't know any actual facts and junk. :(
- Scoble, Alex Scoble
Under the right conditions, a puff of air will do it. I used to see it all the time with the setters when I worked in the diamond district.

It's one of the best comedic horror films I've ever seen. ;-)
- Mary Carmen
i wanted to watch this but I heard it's fricking disturbing. Indoctrination. It's would be funny if people didn't really believe all that but they do...
- Anna Lynn M.
I can't take people who ask God to "bless the power point" slides to make sure "Satan doesn't do his work" with it seriously. At. All. I know a lot of people do, but I laugh at this movie more than I am horrified by it. What horrifies me is the blind following and ignorance.
- Mary Carmen
Apparently. But you have to speak in tongues.
- Mary Carmen
I'm pretty sure Satan had something to do with all the special effects in PP.
- Eivind
blessing the card board cut out bush is classic cinema.

I remember watching this and just staring, jaw slack, bowels loosening. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
- Akiva
Speaking in tongues......that is pretty much where all the credibility gets lost.
- Mary Carmen
I friend of mine was raised in a similar tradition and went to these sorts of camps. She's now an Episcopalian. Her family thinks she's going to Hell. She finds the film both familiar and disquieting.
- Katy S
Except not, Mary. You should dig around for some research that's been done on it. People can actually do it properly—although it's rare—and analyzed recordings show that although it's ultimately gibberish, it is mostly snippets of other languages jumbled together. I remember reading an article on it in OMNI magazine when I was a kid and getting freaked out about it.
- Akiva
I'm not saying it's not real. I'm sure these folks believe what they are doing. It's just to me, I can't take it seriously. I find it unsettling.
- Mary Carmen
I also find "laying of hands" to be disturbing. Ever since an acquaintance told me the only way to cure my cancer was through Jesus.
- Mary Carmen
When I first saw this movie, as the opening credits were rolling and the location (within 2 hours of my house) came on the screen, my first thought was "oh shit - now everybody is going to think everyone in KS and MO are freaks like these folks." It irritated the shit outta me...
- Webgoddess Needs A Drink
I ran across that movie on HBO last year and finally decided to give it a go. I just thought I'd let it play while I did housework. Ended up finding myself fixated on it after only a few minutes, because I just could not believe the stuff I was seeing and hearing. The idea of children sobbing because they want so badly to have this connection with the Lord...jeesh. I especially like the part where that blonde woman says that Bush brought a lot of credibility to the Christian faith. o.O
- Hookuh Tinypants
A lot of people refer to what that woman does as indoctrination and while I agree, I also feel like she is not all to blame. Look at the families. Every parent interviewed home schooled their children so that they would be given a faith-based education. Whether the kids attended the camp or not, they were still being indoctrinated by their parents. The bottomline for me is the fanaticism. Whether it's Christianity, Judaism, Islam, whatever, the fanaticism is what I find disturbing.
- Mary Carmen
Jason & I babbled in tongues to each other for a few weeks after seeing this. SHABBALABBABA!
- Anne Graham
I grew up around stuff like this and still found the film really disturbing.
- Lix
We were just talking about that at yesterday's atheist meetup. And some other documentary about Pentacostals, where supposedly a small child was killed while handling snakes (part of their religion). Still trying to figure out the title of that.
- Lo the Baker
sorry Michael - got tied up with work. They will go up soon I promise. I've been trying to organize my never uploaded shots of the Space Shuttle and close-ups of the Moon too.
- Carlos Ayala
Not me. I'm giving up WD for the time being. 3 drives broken in 2 years, is unacceptable.
- Anika
personally i like their higher end and their network aware products more simply because of the feature set. i use a sharespace and love it. it all depends on how you want to use the device. for instance, for simple storage i go to the cloud (ie: dropbox and the like) for mission critical i go to the sharespace and the cloud (crashplan).
