It was a 19 game losing streak but prior to that, they'd lost another 4 or 5 I think so, yeah, they really needed this. That it was against the Redskins just makes it that much more fun for me.
- pea ♥ fierce as a woozle
which is great as Washington are my fantasy defence :(
- Toby Graham
Redskins Defence when their Offense only spends 10 mins of each game on the field? Oh dear...
- Aman Mahal
Toby, with no snark intended, why pick Washington as your defense? They're not exactly anyone's first pick.
- pea ♥ fierce as a woozle
Aww, thanks. But maybe someday? If I study real hard and wish super, super harder? Maybe there's a course I could take at the local city college? Ah, nevermind. I'll just stay who I am and enjoy all of these hugs! :-)
- Morgan Haley
This is so insane. I keep trying to make up stories about what is happening but nothing makes sense.

Quite clearly they are all on a spaceship anchored close to the sun... This guy's gravity boots malfunction, causing him to be pulled towards the sun's great gravity

Looks like the other guy is a politician. So, this guy is just terribly offended by what Mr. Politico said, he had to roll away.

Poor guy was intended to convince people that he can float on the air... As far as I remember, he got kicked out of the studio right after this... Sooo ridiculous!!! haha

This crazy man was claming that he has some unnatural abilites coming from his spiritual believes, like flying etc. Well, seeing this proves what he is capable of =)
- Hakan Deryal
I don't know why people think this guy is weird. He came to the TV show with claiming that he can fly! I think he is very stable and rational guy. His actions reflect his ideas.

Posterous has really grown on me. Love it as a fun place to post media... stuff that I dont think my blog subscribers would really wanna have in their feeds daily, but stuff i still wanna share. essential part of my day ...Posterous is!

Also insanely easy on mobile device. Something FF is still really lacking, imo

Thanks to your entry I have discovered it and I like it very much. Thanks :)

I´mm having some problems with autopost. I use to publish to my blog when I just wanted to publish to posterous. But it´s my fault, I´m triying to learn

I love it. It's all that I use, for now. My blog is http://zacharytg.posterous.com if you want to know the top stories from Techmeme, Engadget, and Techcrunch.

Steve except Posterous can get on Techmeme while FriendFeed can not. Sigh.

Posterous is saving my life right now. I have four blogs all centered around lingerie and hosiery (two Posterous, one Blogspot, one Tumblr), a Facebook account related to these blogs, two Twitter accounts (one that acts as an RSS feed for the Blogspot blog and one where I tweet about lingerie/hosiery/personal life) a Friend Feed, two Flickr accounts and a YouTube account. There are many...

My wife, which is the least technically-inclined person loved it! She can now post not to one, but 2 different blogs without problems. Making it as simple as sending an email made all the difference. A great tool for someone who doesn't want to do a full-blown blog. I love it also ;)

I grew up around guns my whole life. I love shooting them, yet I refuse to have one in my house and I think they should be restricted. Where I work I've heard people *threaten* to shoot others.
- ‘-.-’ Tutivillus Grift
@Elvind No...people are going to be dangerous with or without guns. If someone is going to hurt, they'll do it. Period. But I think we're on the same side here. Some people just should NOT have guns.
- ‘-.-’ Tutivillus Grift
Those "some people" as you said... wont need any gun. gun just makes thing easy for them.... but they know much slower things to do....... to be considered them self as dangerous people.
- Emad
@Emad - true. Unfortunately, a lot of the Violent Crime in this world is something that happens "in the moment". People react to situations. Guns increase the chance that a death will happen. But in the end, we just need to learn to become better people, more responsible people. Taking guns is a step. I don't own a gun because I know I would be dead. That's my responsibility to my child and the people I'm responsible for, not because I worry about "hurting" people.
- ‘-.-’ Tutivillus Grift
@‘-.-’ Tutivillus Grift: People are dangerous at a greater distance with guns and of course they can do more harm in a shorter period of time. That's more dangerous to me.
- Eivind
I don't own guns... I own weapons, they serve a purpose, I am highly trained in their use, I respect the weapons I own, it is a right as an American citizen that I choose to exercise. However, that being said, I do believe that there need to be laws, and gun control. Not everyone should own such a weapon.
- The Catz Meow
Well as long as you just own weapons and you respect them I guess it will be all right.
- Eivind
@Catz Meow ...and I know of one instance where you told the entire Internets where to find damn near every weapon you own!
- ‘-.-’ Tutivillus Grift
I just read an article about how a seven year old pulled a pistol out of mom's nightstand and then pointed it at and shot dead a four year old. http://www.detnews.com/article...

I'm not sure this is an iPhone killer, but it definitely looks like the Maemo platform has matured. The N700 and N800 were geek toys. This has far more power, far more storage and a far better camera. Plus it looks like the new iteration of Maemo is much slicker than the current one.

Now Monique, what the guy does with his land is *his business*! Oh, "butt", not "butte". ('scuse me, I'm just being facetious. I knew what you really meant :P)
- Kamilah Gill
Indeed. Great read. I think everyone wants to stop Apple going the way of micrososft. Apple can't afford to have Small Man Complex anymore (with apologoes where needed in this PC correct time).
- Roberto Bonini
Thurrott is an asshat :( . As for whether Apple would become the next Microsoft, it is hard to imagine they could make such excruciatingly bad products.
- winckel
This is not about product quality. This is about leveraging your market share unfairly. More properly, this is about breaking the law. Apple does NOT have to act like this.
- Roberto Bonini
Not a fan of Thurrott, so I'll ignore his article. Apple has business practices issues that need to be resolved. The App Store is one prime example. If Microsoft brought out a netbook and only allowed you to install the applications it approves of, how many people would be yelling and screaming about their unfair business practices? Apple is going to do this shortly with their tablet and the faithful will line up for days to get one.
- Kenton
Apple doesn't appear to be breaking the law and it's fair to say there are a number of other places to get music. It's difficult to see why Apple should allow others to leverage off its innovations when its (would be) competitors appear to insist on making oftentime terrible products......
- winckel
Kenton: Sad but true. Winckel. The Google Voice fiasco is a perfect example of Apple using thier clout unfairly and to the detriment of both users and other companies. This behavior is ilegal if you apply it to telephone companies (and there are valid arguemnts for the FCC to extend the provisions of those laws to the net neutrality space). Second, we are not talking about a teenager in...

I suspect we're conflating different things here. The App store has had a number of small missteps but that's perhaps no surprise - it's new and radical and Apple have no doubt been finding their feet. The Google Voice apps seem a little different: we're still waiting for all the facts to emerge but it seems likely that AT&T had a quiet off the record word with Apple at a senior level;...

- winckel
But exhibit number one in any anti-trust action will be the Google Voice fiasco. And Apple will only be digging a huge hole for themselves if they do an app store for the Tablet. To be clear I've no problem withe Apps Store either - I buy apps off it every day. The issue of when apple abuses its complete and utter dominance in the iPhone App space (as exerted through thier control of the Apps Store).
- Roberto Bonini
The fact that Apple doesn't allow any products in the App Store that compete with an application already on the iPhone is anti-competitive and it is a disservice to the users. It's hippocritical for a company to be all about innovation and then prevent others from providing innovative products that compete with their own.
- Kenton
It really is complete tosh to suggest Apple is being hypocritical by tightly managing the App Store :( Having created a great platform, they're presumably keen to prevent crap infesting it. Understandably frustrating to some developers, the rules will no doubt change and evolve over time as the market (and platform) matures.
- winckel
I don't have a problem with Apple keeping out crap apps. By all means blast away at hem.
- Roberto Bonini
@winckel you've had too much of the koolaid. This isn't about crap apps, this is about any app that reproduces functionality that is already there. You obviously assume that if Apple put it on there in the first place there is no other decent app available. Tightly managing the app store and preventing competing products from being available are two completely different things....

Hmmm. I'm not sure Apple achieved what it has by allowing consumers the degree of choice you suggest - it's one of the reasons they don't meaningfully use focus groups. On the contrary, actively shaping consumer behavior by lack of choice seems to have worked well for them - I suspect the current App Store (which will no doubt evolve) is a case in point.
- winckel
Kenton: I certainly don't want to have to install crap apps (on the UI or in the code). winckel: Even if Apple allowed us to install apps ourseves, the vaast majority of people will still continue to use the Apps Store for its ease of use and Apple's Stamp of Approval. The % of iPhone users who jailbreak, for eample, is minimal. Do I want an app to replace he iPhone Phone app?? No. I...

- Roberto Bonini
Roberto, I never meant that you HAD to install crap apps. I just mean that it's my device, I should get to choose what apps I install. winckel, Apple has never told people what it can and cannot install on any of its previous platforms (iPod excepted). How successful would the Mac have been if you could never have installed another image editing tool other than Paint or page layout tool other than Write?
- Kenton
That is indeed one of my gripes with the iPhone walled garden. If this had been any other computing platform (Mac included) users would have revolted en masse long ago ( I don't subscribe to the the "Apple gets a free pass camp"). My point is that If Apple let users have a free hand, only a small minority like you and me would take that option. They should actually do that, They kill two birds with one stone: they silence critics like us and they bypass the anti-trust thing.
- Roberto Bonini
Apple has historically limited choice (for the good, to my mind) and limiting apps simply an (important) extension of this. I think this thread wildly underestimates Apple's desire to ensure the iPhone is practically perfect by managing the smallest details of its use.
- winckel
Apple has proven that they can have a stable, well designed, high-performing platform without forcing people to install only the applications Apple deems suitable for installation. I think we have to agree to disagree as what you consider to be quality control, I see to be borderline anti-competitive behaviour.
- Kenton
One of the best parts about finally having met FFers in meatspace is that now when I read their posts I have a nice little imaginary video/audio narration by them in my head.
i think the person who commented in another language is exactly right... cause it looks like they are cussing at you for posting these pics!!! (jk, its great photography)
