Classic mistake. Companies that eat their own dog food at the expense of experiencing what their customers go through lose peripheral vision and get broadsided.

"Tower Bloxx, a popular mobile game, has sold fewer than 5,000 units on Android. "That's been a great game on every platform, and it kind of informs us how a platform is like," Hawkins said. "On Android, people won't pay for things.""

Seriously, the expense of added cellular service for dual iPhone/iPad users is a major problem? You coughed up an extra $130 to have 3G while you already own an iPhone which requires a data plan, and you're complaining that $30/mth more is going to break the bank? Really? You're in an economic class that will spend that much on downloads/mth if not lattes. If you were really concerned about money, you wouldn't have bothered with an iPad to begin with. Your iPhone would suffice. I don't buy it, iLounge. You're just trying to cover your bases.

"I need to talk to a lawyer," Wallower said. "I think I have already said too much."

"despite the fact that Apple’s Mac business has never been bigger, it’s already been eclipsed by the iPhone OS business — iPhones, iPod Touches, and iPads. If you pause and close your eyes, you can feel it — the tectonic plates are shifting underfoot. The long-term trend is inevitable."
