American Athletic Conference. It will take a while to get used to the name. Given the lineage of the vast majority of the (future) members, it may as well be called New Conference USA.
well, at least it will still be relevant regardless of the number and geography of schools in the conference. I'm looking at you, Big *East*, *Atlantic* Coast Conference, etc.

And what about that Atlantic Ten, which features Saint Louis University?
- Julian
You mean like the Pacific Coast Conference, which lets you know that Colorado and Utah are on the Pacific Coast? (Yes, I know it's just the Pac-10-er-12 now...)

I wonder if Tulsa will eventually become the fourth.
- Julian
Well. It looks like Tulsa just got that invite. I doubt that they will be joining San Diego State, Boise State, and Texas Christian as former WAC schools to de-commit from joining the conference soon to be formerly known as the Big East.

Is the media coverage of Manti Te'o fair? Has a line been crossed? And how does this "scandal" stack up against others? Read about it at: http://www.squidoo.com/manti-t...
Honestly... the only place that this particular sports drink shower is not getting old is the state of Alabama. Also... were this a championship run by the NCAA, it would likely be a Powerade or Dasani shower.

They are not going to cover. The National Championship game was played in Atlanta this year. Notre Dame is being dominated in every statistical column.

I'm going to have to root for OU in the Cotton Bowl. That was very difficult to say but we have a hometown boy playing tonight and that's how much I want A&M to LOSE. Is it possible for there to be a tie and both teams lose?
...btw, another SEC team is getting its *zz handed to itself in a big bowl game—this time Louisville (a hoops school) is beating the stuffing out of Florida in the Sugar Bowl
I had a 10-2 Utah State over a 9-3 Toledo team easily in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, and it was really easy: 41-15 Utah State. Two good picks to start my bowl season!
even though I picked Arizona in the New Mexico Bowl, I turned off the game when they trailed Nevada by 13 points with 1:38 remaining. somehow, Zona justified my faith in them, scoring 2 TDs and 2 XPs in 98 seconds—FTW!
